Hey now
He only gives candy and gifts to little kids after he breaks in through the chimney
Also he only encourages kids to stay up by themselves and to leave him tasty treats
Prior to this he asks for lists of their naughty actions for the year
He can't be a child molester because his sleigh isn't a white van (although I suppose reindeer could pull such a vehicle)

JB: I like the concept of a free Shrike roaming through the treetops of the jungle. I'm not sure that I like the idea of a real Shrike sitting on my couch eating my Skittles.

Yeah. Petrochemical prices being what they are, coal's not that much of a disincentive. but a whole stocking full of 'crons, Pyrovores, Swooping Hawks and Thousand Sons could probably make it clear to little Timmy that he needs to clean his act up.
