For those of you who don't know (and you should!) a Browncoat is a fan of the Firefly series. And if you didn't know, well now you do

I loved the show. It was probably the best Space Western I've ever seen and I hate that they canceled it. The movie wasen't bad but it ruined it when he was one of my favorite characters.

I liked the part where guns from the 20th century made space age sounds and shot lasers for no discernable reason.

Also it had great characterization.

Firefly is great on it's own merits, but also because it stars two of the geek world's biggest loves: Nathan Fillion and Summer Glau. I think I would have both of their children.

Haha nice. I was pretty excited when I learned you could have is voice in Halo Reach for Firefight mode. I remember when I first saw him, it was on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. He was some sadistic priest who took Zanders eye.

It is fairly basic Western history; they were the Nazi organization that preceeded the SS.

I got taught about them at the age of 14 in school. And again at college. And I've stumbled across them again at uni. Just goes to show the differences in educational priorities in different countries.

I quite liked the series, although no one else seems to think so.

I liked it but not until it had been canceled and forgotten by everyone who wasn't already a fan.

Like a lot of things talked about on the internet, it seems it was a much loved show that no-one watched.

I can understand how that happened, I really liked the show but it was scheduled late at night so I didn't bother catching it, and only found out it was really good years after it was cancelled.

I learned about them at school.

I don't think its a national issue.

See I attended 3 differant High Schools in 3 differant regions of the U.S and didn't hear about them once. Yes we briefly learned about the S.S (I say briefly because it was one page in the section about WW2 that talked about the concentration camps more then anything). But the sad fact is that most of our education consisted of learning the answers to questions that some state official thought was important, wuestions that we where given 1nce a year because the state thought we would need them for our future.

One such state I lived in had a test that it's own governer coulden't even pass (I'll give you a hint, it's George Bushs brother and the state was home to Walt Disney). So in my opinion the U.S education system lacks any richness or meat and is now all about standardised testing which is a complete joke. Especially considering I've had the ability to travel abroad and have seen how other education systems compare due to foriegn family members who are still in school.

I can honestly say that I have learned more usefull information in my free time watching the Discovery Channel then I ever did in 4 years of school. Let's hope that 4 years of college will be better = end

Considering that you can write a coherent statement with proper punctuation I'd say you learned more from school than you are conscious of.

Correction, its the Nazi Organization that didn't survive the Night of Long Knives. The SS was a seperate organization for nearly a decade prior.

I love Firefly!

I say we make a petition to either restart the show or make a decent MMORPG based off of it.

Internet petitions. They're about as useful as a poopy flavored lollypop.

The show had it's run, and it was a good one. I say let it go. If we were to get more, it may ruin the memory that we have of it.

And I didn't ay you didn't learn anything, I said you learned more than you think you did. I'm starting to doubt that though...

And yes, Firefly was a great show.

Yup, watched it on netflix instant watch a couple months back, might watch it again...

Richard Castle (Nathan) walks out in Malcoms costume, and his daughter comments on how he "Wore that outfit five years ago" and Castle responds "What's that supposed to mean? Some of my best memories are in this outfit".

Beckett has a gun pointed at her, Castle fires his gun, hits the crooks gun out of his hands, crook gets taken into custody, Becket says "Nice shot", and Castle says "I was aiming for his head" (Just like the scene where Jane gets drugged, except he hits the gun instead of a leg)

Beckett and Castle are in Chinatown, they approach a pair of illegal chinese immigrants, Beckett starts shouting at them, the Immigrants stare at them, Castle speaks perfect chinese, Beckett asks "Did you spend a year overseas?" to which Castle replies "Nah, it was this old TV show I used to love."

I didn't know that, that's pretty cool. I know that 3 of the actors from the show voice marines in the Halo series and that there is a quest in WOW that pays homage to the show. Even the game Badlands has a referance to it.

Ah I see Ahtman dosen't know what the word ignore means as he keeps posting. No doubt it's something aimed at me, I find this amusing.
