The Siege is fast approaching yet again. We have shaken things up a bit this. We'll have a 40K tournament, details to follow. A WFB tournament with details to follow. FoW tournament set in mid-war 1750 pts. Hopefully a Warmachine/Hoards tournament, as long as we can get a new Press Ganger for ou area. Plus the a-typical historical games and much, much more. Here's the link to our website, adn we hope to see you there!!

As of right now the details for the 40K Tournament are pretty slim as we're getting all the information second hand.

From what I know:

It will be an escalation style Tournament in the following format:

First Game: 1250

Second Game: 1500

Third Game: 1850

Missions are to be discussed at a later date.

That's all I have to offer at this time.

It sounds like a blast from reading over the site; the fact that it has been running steady since 92 is a big plus for me as well. I actually might be around for it so I would REALLY like to go.

Just sounds like the events mentioned in nieto666's last post haven't quite been sewn up tight yet. Hope to hear more about them soon.

Im having a meeting tomarrow with the head of the convention because for some reason HMGS South doesnt want to get back with me on the details, perhaps Im too pushy. Anyways it is great times with tons of different mini's games. I was going to play in the FoW Tournament but Im going to run a few events instead. One of which will be The battle of Pelnor Fields using War of The Ring. Too bad we only have one Mumak but maybe in between now and then Ill pick up another.

Sounds like this year will be a real blast. I'm really looking forward to it and am building up kitchen points to spend the whole weekend hanging out and rolling dice.

Normally in our area Im the one who puts on tournaments for 40K and WFB but the last few I did, last year, got a pretty weak showing. Im talking with a friend right now about taking the reins back and have a more tradional tourament style. Ive got some old scenarios we could use and a good bit of other resources so we'll see. Either that or help direct HMGS South in the right direction. I hope you can make it grizgrin. We maybe a small con but we know have to have a good time.

Indeed - cost to enter? Augusta isn't the biggest fifty in the weld, but reasonable to travel to from North Florida and other parts of Georgia as well as South Carolina.

How many people attended the 40k event last year? What was the cost to enter? How was prize support broken out? Hat was scoring based on?

There's a lot of incredibly streamlined GTs and RTTs taking place everywhere - and All the stores I've been to in Georgia seem to have competent TOs and balanced missions - I wonder if there is something to attribute attendance to?

The Missions will be a mix of of some old Ard Boyz scenarios and others. Points will be the standard that RTT's are run with, I dont have the paper work in front of me right now. Prizes will be handed out to the top three and will be in the form of gift cards at one of our local stores. $100 for first, $50 for Second, and $25 for third.

The standard admission to the Siege will get you into the tournament, $20 preregistered. I will have enough space for twenty players in each tournament. If the out come this year is a good one I will increase it for next years.

As for the gift cards Ill be taking names if no one has the time, or doesnt see anything of interest, and you can tell me what you want' We will then have it ordered and shiped to you. The local store that is supporting us will have a vending table there, plus the store is about a ten minute drive away.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
In other words register now before it fills up.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Also I might adjust prize support a little, as in taking ten from first and puting it into third. I have another working meeting this Saturday and will be meeting with the man responsable for running Siege tomarrow.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Also Ill make sure everything is correct on the website by tomarrow, I have to cordinate with others for updates and what not.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Also those of you who are interested, give me your full names through PM and Ill reserve a slot for you until we get your payment, or just specify on the register form.
