After my classic Wargear Thread, i am interested in what Wargear in 5th Gear you think is best?

My vote is for the humble Combi-Melta. Many is the time that one of my sergeants has "slagged" an unwary vehicle, its tough and versatile and cheap. IMHO i think its the best bit of kit on the battlefield, with the other combi's close behind.

Mattieu~~~~ It's not that eldar are bad, it's that they require a lot of intergration between units. Also, that doesnt prove anything other than GW has a huge hard-on for marines, and, given the option between making a xeno the best psykers or making a marine the best psyker, they will 9 times out of 10 choose the marine.

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

I am going to have to vote Storm Shield or Agonizer.

One is a 3+ save against everything short of warscythes, and the other kills anything on a 4+. Always fun.

This is easily the best point for point item in the game. Pretty much every other upgrade pales in comparison to this.

Stormshields. A 3++sv is more than a wee bit abusive in most of the places it can be taken save for Wolf Guard. ****, you could probably cost TH/SS termi's at 50pts and they'd still probably be taken just as often as they are now.

I'm assuming he means that many IC that can be ID'ed by a PF have been, not that it causes ID (e.g. marine with PF can instant death a Chaos Lord, presuming he fails the invul save).

Anyway, how about the Relic Blade? It's pretty good for 30pts.

I'd have to go for the Kustom Force Field.

4+ cover save to all vehicles in the Ork fleet moving across the table. Killa-kans with a 4+ save....probably the most useful piece of wargear in 40k, doubling the survivability of literally the entire Ork army.

I think the Relic Blade is somewhere close to awesome but it is too expensive..I simply cannot afford it especially when 75pts gets me a scout squad.

Which is possibly the single most terrifying thing that could every happen. An ork army with a good save.

Point for point I reckon it's the Wolf Standard. 10pts to re-roll all 1s in an Assault Phase is absolutely amazing.

Glad Dash showed up to give the Orks some love. KFF does wonderful things, period. It doesn't cost much, it can help any style of build, it helps mitigate a primary ork weakness (low armor), and the model carrying it is snazzy as hell (not to mention the scratchbuilding options are very open, meaning it's easy to field, even if you're strapped for cash).
