Last night, I subjected myself to twelve straight hours of Mass Effect. After about six hours and several Red Bulls, I had maxed out my mouse sensitivity and I had the reflexes of a coked-up rattlesnake. I'm firing it back up now and may very well pull another all-nighter. Dakka, is there something wrong with me? Who wants to share stories of their all-night gaming binges?

This same thing sort of happened with me when I played Bioshock one night. I was so engrossed with the game that I didn't realize 8 hours had passed and that the sun was coming up.
I also can put in some marathon sessions of WoW.

When I first got Halo 3 I didn't stop playing until I completed the campaign. As I had chosen to play on Heroic (before then I would usually play easy/normal) it took me all night. Fell asleep in geography the next day

I tend to clock in 3-5 hours on TF2 without knowing how much time has passed. RPGs can suck a lot of my time quickly too (just got new vegas and stayed up til 3 AM last night) Generally though I actually barely eat anything when playing games. Then I get super tired and hungry after playing.

Star Wars Galaxies syphoned away literal weeks of my life. I was perfectly content to play it every minute of every day, not out of some need to grind out levels or get better equipment, but because it felt like a living, breathing world, wherein my avatar was my digital persona. They just don't make MMOs like they used to, sadly, and I'll probably never have that kind of experience again.
Though SWG is the biggest offender, there are countless games that I've played for at least 8 hours straight. Not too much anymore, as I find that I just don't get the same amount of satisfaction from a videogame that I used to.

Wow I totally forgot about animal crossing! dang we rented that 3 times from blockbuster till we finally bought it. Sunk so many hours (days?) in that game, across 3 memory cards to maximize profit from fruits. Having a 2 story house+basement wasnt enough room though! Also those insects annoyed me. Stupid rare dragonfly was uncatchable. Filled up Dino Bones and Aquarium though. I miss playing that game now. Town must be filled with weeds

When I first got Final Fantasy VII I played for 36 hours straight.
My parents were on holiday during the school holidays, so I was quite happy to game my life away.
The most after that was probably 15 hours on Reach, because me, the girlfriend and some friends had a LAN party and just played it constantly.

During classic WoW (prior to the xpacs) I did the AV rep grind from friendly to exalted in pretty much one go. I slept for like 4 hours in between about 20 hours of playing. Never doing that again.

Back during my old Runescape playing days, I was trying to get 99 fletching. Thats the max level you can reach in a skill and requires 100+ of grinding to achieve.
I spent about twenty hours crafting maple longbows without stopping for anything other then toilet breaks and snacks.

One session? Over 24 hours straight, Halo Reach weekend. We went over my one friends house, and, killing 9 GALLONS of Mountain Dew in the process, we all did it.
IF you fell asleep before the 24 Hours was up, you we're shocked with a battery to the tongue.
Needless to say, I was Captain that weekend...

Mattieu~~~~ It's not that eldar are bad, it's that they require a lot of intergration between units. Also, that doesnt prove anything other than GW has a huge hard-on for marines, and, given the option between making a xeno the best psykers or making a marine the best psyker, they will 9 times out of 10 choose the marine.

I worked all night (8pm to 6am) and picked up RE2 on the way home. Told myself that I was going to play until I got the the first save spot. Next thing I know, my GF called me and was on her way home after work. She got off of work at around 7pm. Thank God I didn't work that night.
I did have a few different times to where I found myself asleep while playing a FF game.

WoW had some pre-dawn until after dusk days associated with it. For the life of me I can't remember what I did in that game for 12-14 hours a stretch. Nowadays I max out at about 2-3 and I have to walk away for the day.
Fallout 3/New Vegas have both managed to be some serious time vampires. That's one of the last games in AGES I can remember looking up at the clock and going "4AM, wtf?! Wife better be sleeping soundly..."
Civ 4 has logged some good time too - have spent whole weekends on that, albeit usually with generous breaks. Just got Civ 5 and hoping it rings similar.
It's just getting so darn hard to find that kind of time to burn nowadays. It gets worse when I think about the projects and chores I'm putting off to piss away on a video game. Kids also limit the long stretches until after dark, which can be restrictive.

There....Might be something wrong with you. I remember playing the legend of zelda; twilight princess for like 14 hours straight. That game is pretty easy, but I was going for at least 90% completion, so it took that long. Got it the day it came out at around 10:30, played it from 12 to 2 Lots of fun.
I don't play many 'mainstream' games though, so I never have the chance to do such adventurous things. I remember playing pokemon platinum for (on and off) 48 hours straight. But that was the last time :3
