The Inquisition have publicaly spoke their mind about their distrust of the Blood Angels, and have inquired into the rituals of the Blood Drinkers on several occasions. The "flaw" and its effects on the Blood Angels, especially Mephiston are also under constant observation by Inquisitors. But now its your turn to speak your mind on the Blood Angels. Are they to be trusted? Or are they just another part of the Imperium about to fall prey to the taint of Chaos? As a fan of Blood Angels i look forward to your posts with great enthusiasm!

Considering those under the effects of the black rage/red thirst believe they are Sanguinious i doubt they would turn to Chaos.

BA, hmmm... Former flavor of the month.

I can see that, but what if the black rage/red thirst increases to the point where they (Blood Angels) see a indiference between friend and foe, to the point the entire chapter is demed renegade? The reason i say this is because a gene seed decreases in quality with each recycled use.

As far as i understand it the flaw isn't biological in the sense it can be changed or increased as it came from the psychic death scream from Sanguinious when he died. If anything it should be slowly decreasing. Though i could easily be wrong i haven't read the new BA fluff (which may be a good thing according to some)

To keep some distance in battle isn't a bad thing ( red thirst, black rage ) so distrust to avoid 'collateral damage' is there.

I don't think their loyality is in question. The =I= seems to doubt the resilience to the flaws and has no interest in BA getting out of control.
So its more the paranoia of the =I= than substantial info to base such claims on.
Remember the =I= didn't trust the DA, SW, BT, .... and the list goes on. Not sure if there is a single chapter they do trust ( except GK ).

IMO the BA would follow their Primarchs example and sacrifice themselves before turning traitor.

Mephiston is evil imo, didnt a daemon tell him he was on the way to daemonhood?
Id rather trust the relictors chapter personally, blood angels are too much like emperors children for my tastes.

Yes, but wouldn't a daemon be just as likely to lie about Mephiston falling to chaos? And I don't see how the Blood Angels are like the Emperor's Children. One of Sanguinius' most touted traits is humility, and the Blood Angels follow suit. Emperor's Children were anything but humble.

[spoiler]I think the Black Library goes far in showing just how full of pride and how they need to or are connected with their Primarch in the "Blood Angels Omnibus" I mean they tear there chapter apart and almost succumb to Chaos. I mean come on it doesn't get any closer than that. They are a wild card and until they find a cure or learn to control their inner demons they are basically out of control.

Most of the chapters are equally or even more flawed. Look at the Space Wolves and their wulfen. BA are no more likely to fall than any others but I still wouldn't call many chapters virtuous. SM in general are arrogant, violent and bred only for war and anything in their way (including, on occasion, the very citizens of the Imperium they are defending) be damned. In fact the only chapter, off the top of my head, I would call virtuous would be the Salamanders.

Blood angels suffer from insanity. Mental disease is a breeding ground for chaos.

My chapter's fluff had their DC going renegade along with other traitors. Its not impossible, the DC have gone crazy, its just unlikely.

Honestly though, the BA are as loyal as the Ultra Marines or the Space Wolves. They are a first founding legion that survived the heresy defending the imperium. Their loyalty isnt in question.

I honestly think it's just the inquisition not wanting anyone to have more power then them.Hence why they don't get along with most original legions,their reputation allows them to get away with more than the inquisition wants them to.

BA are always loyal. But i think once the Black Rage consumes them, it is only a matter of time before their mind is totaly lost and they can no longer distinguish friend or foe.

I'm pretty sure they were killing the tau....not having kinky lovemaking tea parties. What exactly is wrong with the SW killing tau underwater. Very different from the BA Crons stuff.... I prefer to ignore the BA and pretend they don't exist

How could them gakking Inquisition say that. I mean BA's are one of the most loyal groups i can think of man, even with thier flaw, they still fight, even under suspicion they still fight, never once have they turned thier backs on the IoM, i bet the inquisition owe lotsa daemon slaying to the BA.
