I watched as some Space Wolfs take a beating by a Thunderhawk Mark II it arrived with a 7 inch pie plate of doom from batle cannon along with 2 Hell Strike Missiles and 15 Auto Cannon attacks, chewed up those Space Puppies real bad. It was very scary to watch.

I was playing an apocalypse game and someone attacked the back of Tyranid army with 6 eversor assassins, hamstringed all my carnifexes.

I watched as a local player with a Khrone Lord leading a bunch of berzerkers charged into a tac squad. He rolled a 10 for his demon weapon.

That's 15 WS6 I5 power weapon attacks on the charge...

... the 10-man tac squad didn't even survive that one-model rampage long enough for the berzerkers to even start revving their chain axes.

The swarmlord getting charged by my THSS termies and killing them all cause I can't roll worth a damn. Really. I now hate something more than IG it seems.

1000pt game, my orks against sm.
Let's just say 1 thunderfire cannon destroyed a whole 30 orks in 1 shooting phase...

Not likely man. If he was packed rank trying to run up to them, I could easily see 4 pie plates wipe out a boyz squad.

I had a similar fearsome pie plate assault, but playing against heavily mech IG. Basilisks, mortars, LRBT, by the time he was done shooting i had lost more than half my footslogging list!

I once faced 3x30 gangs with devourers... 270 s4 ws3 shots O_O 900 pts tho

Apoc game against the wife's Orks over in turn 2; she got first turn and used the Stompa's Gatling Kannon 36 attacks later the ammo finally ran dry and most of my units fled off table from casualties, or got wiped out by her Looted wagons Boomgun, 10 Lootas, 10 burnas, 12 Warbikes, & 20 Shoota boy mob. My shadow sword lost its main gun and a few structure points from the 3 supa rokkits; it got destroyed next turn by the Deth Kannon. I barely scratched her army.

The attack I recieved from my friends wife when she realized I convinced him to come play a game of 40k on their anniversary.

I played against an Ork guy who had his boyz in columns for whatever reason. I killed 30 Orks in one shooting phase with my Thunderfire Cannon as well. Another game I used it to take out 15 Lootas in one go. The thing can be a real beast.

Received? Probably having 9 LRBTs all open fire on my Nob Biker squad. That was one of my first few games, and I hadn't quite got the hang of this whole "positioning" thing yet.

The best attack I ever got off was multi-assaulting basically an entire Tau army with Ghazghkull and 10 MANZ on turn 2. That was beautiful. Killed almost 30 models in a single assault phase.

My lash prince charged into a 40 man IG blob, then they were killed in sweeping advance, in a 750 point game

20 outflanking Genestealers with one upgraded to a Broodlord beside a tactical squad. I need not explain the amount of hilarity that ensued.

Out flanking Plague Reaper, killed 40 of my foot sisters... Allies took their rider, won't do that again.

And anyway, in the FAQ on the gw website, didn't they say the thunderfire cannon is large blast?

My Super Heavy Cobra with a 9 inch D weapon is pretty scary in apoc games.

So is the Warwalker squadron when they decloak and fire twice. 9 Warwalkers armed with shuriken cannons firing 108 shots when they arrive all for very little points

Large units of Genesteallers, it only got slightly better with the new codex though.

For some reason Tyranids are the only army I have trouble with, everything else I go just fine against.

Snipers are heavy weapons. You can't fire them after moving. And I don't think Scouts are relentless. How did they outflank, anyway?

Meph walked through 22 genestealers. Spectacular.

My 10 man 2x assault cannon terminator squad (ranged) fires upon 8 man chosen squad.

18 storm bolter rounds and 8 assaultcannon rounds later, no more chosen squad.

My devestators last night got charged by 10 Yrrmgglll, I managed to kill 1 before he got 5 rending. They proceeded to wipe out a tactical squad and my DC before they died(damn cover saves!)

Used a Stompa in a game for fun a while back. The super gattler(?) wiped out a scout squad in a bunker, a long fang squad and a tactical squad in one turn. Ludacris :(

Scouts have the Infiltrate rule, so can Outflank.

Aileros - technically the zerkers attacks happened at I5 as well, so assuming this was 5th ed there was a chance that the non- PW attacks could have been stacked, depending on squad loadout. They were pretty much dead though, unless supersarge managed to survive abotu 10 armour saves...

No, seriously.

You can have your models 2" apart and stay in coherency. The radius of a small blast template is 1.5". If you're not an idiot, a small blast template should hit roughly 1 model per shot.

I mean, 3 flamers CAN wipe out a 30-boy mob in a single round of shooting, but you have to be ... exuberantly ignorant... to let that happen.

Yeah, but the player rolled the power weapon attacks first, and when it game up with 10 wounds, he didn't even get to bother rolling the dice.

Of course, his opponent could have let him roll them and then abused the hell out of wound wrapping (did I just get penalized for doing more damage?), but he just took the off the table instead.

No, it says the Vindicator and Whirlwind use large blasts.

Large team game.... JOTWW ripped through GAZ, Demon prince, Greater Demon and a hive tyrant....... we all rolled 6's.....
