Here's my list for when I started playing

1) Deep striking Seraphim. I did this a few times when I first started SoB and ended up losing about 1/2 the squads I dropped in to mishaps. I stopped doing that.
2) I deployed a Vindicare Assassin about 8" from my opponents table edge in a Dawn of War game. I'm pretty sure you can't deploy infiltrators in DoW, but despite that fact it was really stupid to put him that close to my opponents table edge.
3) I left a squad of Death Co within assault distance from my friend's BT Furious Charge Assault Terminators. On my friend's turn he assaulted and wiped out my Death Co before I could even swing back.

I know I've done other dumb things, but those are the three that really stand out to me as being window licking moves.

I put a big mek with KFF in with my grots. yeah dude he gave them a sweet save.. but then they all died to a sweeping advance led by one crafty assassin >_<

Hmm, lets see...
1) assualting a land raider with assualt termies in it with a 10 strong ork boy squad
2) assualting adreadnought with grots
3) assualting a land raider with assualt termies in it with grots
4) trying to kill eldrad with a chaos sorcerer
5) Deepstriking a squad of chaos termies with termie sorcerer in front of a squad of nobs with PKs

Theres way more, but I don't want to embaress my self any more
( I only did 2 and 3 because the grots were my second last unit left, and they were closest at the time)

For me, putting a three man squad of foot slogging nobz in a tournament. Also there was a lone KFF big mek. And two lone ork deffkoptas.

Deepstruck a unit of Bloodletters right in front of three squads of Warriors and a squad of Immortals. Did not quite think that one through.

This stills haunts me.

I "thought" that hiding my berserkers would keep them safe. I hide the entire army in a houses and did not move forward. I was fighting a gun line. It was a painful lesson.

I forgot to fire my Defiler and Vindicator for a whole game.

Forgot to disembark two WS full of DA. Game ended as a tie, the only remaining models of the enemy army were Mephiston and Astaroth. I had the Avatar, the two undamaged WS with troops and a Wraithlord left.

Back when i first started playing, i would forget to do ANYTHING with any unit other than my Warboss and his retinue.
Movement phase: Move the boss and nobz.
shooting phase: fire the 3 big shootas in that unit, MAYBE remember i had a Zzap gun.
assault phase: CHARGE with the boss and go straight into the combat step.

I assaulted a LR with a biker boss. Normally a smart move, but for some lame reason I completely forgot about hitting vehicles by how far they moved. Well the LR moved enough for me to roll 6s to hit it. I was thinking oh with all his attacks, I should be able to wreck this damn thing. So I charged strait at the LR in the middle of his army, and then was reminded about the 6s to hit.

I attached Zogwort to a squad of 30 boyz and then didn't reroll when I try to Deep strike them closer to my enemy! It was a mishap waiting to happen!

Gonna have to say walking within 6' of ahriman with a 10 man terminator squad with tigurious attached. Enemy player removes 300 points worth of space marine with that damn boon of mutation or whatever, and then there happened to be some obliterators I hadnt seen with plasma cannons. All in all, lost 640 points of space marine that turn. Still grinded to a draw

Depending on the situation of the game, these don't seem so dumb. It might tie up the unit or wreck the land raider, making your opponents footslog and that extra range might be enough to win you the game. I feel these 3 are definitely situational.

Ummm I suppose for me it's running a combat squaded marine squad with PF sarge and melta across the board against my mates mech eldar. Yeahhhh fire prism managed to kill the entire squad in one small blast shot.

Well, it started out as innocent fun, but when... OH! You mean gaming related; right, OK then.

Using a Rhino to tank shock a falling back unit of Guardsman equipped with a power fist. They were about 6 inches from the table edge and would have ran off next turn, but I tank shocked, they regrouped and the sergeant performed Death Or Glory exploding my Rhino. :(

**Battle Brother Lucifer**

The first game I played of whfb was a game with a friend. I has Acharon and two squads of WoC.
He had his full ork army ( of equal points, iirc Acharon is like 800+ pts)
(btw, the stupidist thing is him letting me use Acharon w/o the knights)

Acharon got one wound all game (Night gobbo fanatic) and wasted his whole army.

Deploying 30 boys into terrain. then couldnt move them out becouse i kept rolling 1's difficult terrain tests. so could only move them out 1 inch at a time. oops

Deep struck 10 battle suits (including a Shas'o) less than 12" away from a dreadnought, two squads of assault marines, and two squads of devestators with missile launchers. Killed 8 missile launcher devs and had 1/2 my force wiped out.

I once put my deep strike reserves on another table pre-deployment, and forgot about them until the end of the game when I was packing up.

Charged my sentinel into close combat with a P fist terminator, forgetting that the combat chainblade on it is ONLY for decoration, and not a DCCW.

I don't even know how I got that idea.

Charging an immobilized, Mawcannon destroyed Soul Grinder with my Wraithlord (non-KP game). I assumed I'd destroy it easily before it was able to hit me back. Then, I rolled to hit...

2 turns later, I had managed to destroy the Harvester leaving it totally non-threatening. But, my Wraithlord was dead.

Well, it took me like six games to remember to use Eldrad's second psychic power. ;;-_-
Oh, and losing two armies.

Also, my friend wants me to post his, tank shocking a space marine tac squad with a powerfist sarge using his trukk which then ramshackled its way into his boys killing like 5 of them.

I once scattered a basilisk shot onto my infantry platoons who for some reason were out in the middle of nowhere and bunched up nice and close. Needless to say 20 some gaurd got smooshed. Apoc game flank marched a stompa behind the sm gunline.... Forgot about the titanhammer squad only 8" away. Lost the stompa plus all the boys inside in 1 turn. Then did the same thing next turn with the skullhamma. Kind of a "derp" moment.
