I like creating lists...different kinds of list for fun and for exercise. So lets all do the same and make the best darn 500 point army as we can.
Like most people, I am sure the majority of us here do not normally play at that low of points so I am sure it will be interesting to see what each other
can come up with at such low points.
I have two lists
Space Wolves:
HQ: Rune Priest - Runic Armor, Wolftail talisman, Plasma Pistol, JOTWW, Living Lightning
Troops: Grey Hunters x6 - Plasma Pistol, Flamer, PF, Wolf Standard, Rhino
Troops: Grey Hunters x6 - Flamer, PF, Rhino
Orks:
Warboss, Shoota-Skorcha Combi, PC, Warbike
Troops: Boyz X16 - Boyz Nob - PC
Troops: Boyz X16 - Boyz Nob - PC
Heavy Support: Looted Wagon with boom gun - Cheap and if it hits. Pretty much anything at that points is gonna go boom.
Orks 2:
HQ: Warboss - PC, Eavy Armor, Cybork Body
HQ: Warboss - PC, Eavy Armor
Troops: Mega Nobs x3 Twin Linked Shoota - Trukk
Troops: Mega Nobs x3 Twin Linked Shoota - Trukk
Its 8 models that are in a fast vehicle and have 2+ saves that can kill anything and probably not have to worry getting there.
Risky overall but powerful at those points.

Well said. The Nob biker list will ruin anything and everyone at this points level. They are really THAT amazing. not to mention you can dance around and just fire your TL dakka guns...those things have some nice dmg output. I vote for the Nob Bikers.

15 FNP JP marines and priest kill infantry. Flamer helps.
Libby hits with S10 blood lance, insta fibbing half the nob bikers or tanks. Meltas kill tanks or mega-armored nobs.

Yeah, this would beat the Meph matchup:
Lord, TWM, PF, SS, Bear 235
5 Grey Hunters, flamer 75
5 Grey Hunters, flamer 75
5 Long Fangs, 4 ML 115
= 500
Its worse against most other matchups though (Meph is far more survivable, efficient and killy against regular joe infantry than the thunderlord).
Ghazzy kills Meph too, but suffers against some other matchups.

Comes in at 500p and is pretty dam mean...
EDIT: The only list I doubt this could beat is the nob biker one, you would need some clever tricks to get through THAT.

You have to hit the bikes first. With their cover save...good luck, you may get 1 or 2 but then they are right up your arse.

Bjorn Destroys all and Grey Hunters Soak up anything Mephiston, Warbosses or Hammer heads could possibly do.
If you Penetrate him with anything I will just make you reroll + Inv save. If focus is on him than Grey hunters wipe out
whatever is up close.

How do grey hunters "soak up" Meph's CC attacks, exactly?
Bjorn isnt worth his points at this level, he's not nearly killy enough, and a couple of meltaguns will blast his ancient ass to pieces.

Thinking it was a friendly game, I brought a fluffy list.
He brought a keeper of secrets and 2 daemon princes.
3 MCs at 500pts.
I lost.
I am not a daemon player, but he outfitted them so it was something like

Basically a CC nuke. You have six guys with 3+ (2+ for the captain) saves and feel no pain, five of whom have power weapons, mounted in a transport.
The scouts are there to provide fire support, and fill the rest of the FOC.
