No kidding. WTF is up with mini designers? Everything has a huge top/body and ridiculously undersized legs (or whatever) to support it. SM dreads, most PP heavy jacks, etc. For the love fark sculpt something that looks like it would be able to stand up on its own people.

I won't think it will be that bad at all. It looks like there will be a joint at the base of the tail, about a 1/4" below the armpit as you look at the photo. That would give you a great angle to drill down the length of the tail to the base, simultaneously pinning the tail to the base, the body to the tail, and structurally reinforcing the tail.

From a design prespective the resin body should not be that heavy and such big base should be more than enough support.

Should also mention that this is billed as a WIP shot.

It looks fragile, but still lovely.

Too small for a Monolith I'd say. Would make for a cool Destroyer Lord or Tomb Spyder though.

So that's what Necrons do with Tyranids.

The height looks more or less right... it's just the bulk (or lack thereof) of the lower half that's a problem... and that's easily compensated for with some 'creative' basing. Mount him on a pile of rocks, and allow opponents to target his base elements as well as the model himself.

It's cool, but it looks very much like an over the top zoanthrope and therefore will be rather difficult to make stand up...

Its a model that will be used in pp and gw great job with the design.
