One got put up on Xbox Live today; not sure about the other systems.
Will give a review when it finishes DLing.
Automatically Appended Next Post: So, I finished playing the demo.
I'm...hesitant, but impressed. They moved it towards playing like Mass Effect 2 and even managed to streamline some of the issues that players had with ME2.
The problem is a few features(inventory and character creation) were locked so I can't pass judgment on that.
What I can, however, say is that a Rogue's "Exploding Strike" is damned awesome

I actually just checked about 2 minutes ago on PS3 and it wasn't there.. I just did a search for "dragon age 2" and all I got were trailers and the DAO DLCs. guess they'll add it later.
Because microsoft is spending lots of money to try and make sure that their platform dominate. And by their platform, I mean the xbox series, because they wish fervently that PC gaming would die. The bastards.

Take your hate elsewhere please. This is about DA2, not Microsoft.

Got it for PS3, downloaded fine demo lasted about 45 mins or so I think. Maybe an hour. You run through some intro quests and meet a few characters, and get a few levels so you can see how leveling up works.
Graphics are a vast improvement over the first, but I like how they kept the same look to some of the armor so it all matches the style, it just looks way better. And fighting was a lot more fun, I played as a rogue. Lots of fun jumping around and backstabbing stuff
Glad I swapped my killzone 3 preorder for DA2. Guess I won't be painting any new models for a long time....
Spoiler:
It seemed like it took place at the same time as Origins though.. I thought I read it was supposed to be much later (like a generation or 2), but in the beginning you're running away from the blight in Lothering? I was thinking it would be that your main character was Morrigan's baby or something like that.
As I understand, Dragon Age 2 is a separate story, happening at the same time as Origins in the start, and then after.
Seeing that they say Origins took place (including Awakenings) like 2-3 years, Dragon Age 2 will take place over 10(20?) years.
This is true.
It's going to suffer the same problem that ME1 and ME2 did.
ie, the second game is different enough from the first that some of those who liked the first will not like the second.
and there will but much bitterness between the two sides...
For my part, I got bored quite quickly with it. For the amount of button mashing it required the spectacle payoff was lacking IMO.
Don't judge so quick on the Demo ^.^
On the separation of the two games, I don't know if it will be as drastic as you say.
As far as I can tell, it looks like you'll play the beginning going through a completely different story in the Free Marches, getting information or something from what is happening back in Ferelden.
And then you go from there. Things will start to become completely new. It is speculation, though. What you say will probably be true if Hawke and Company don't go back to Ferelden or something.

Touche.
Also, on a different note, I think I am going to have to be a girl in this one: The Staves are thrown about it too dance-y type of an attack, it would be wierd watching a guy do that constantly.
Also, FemHawke has a British Accent
I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.
On the horns on the Quanari, I heard they always have them but Sten and any we saw in origins was a weirdo that doesn't.
They use them as advance scouts and embassies so people don't freak out cause of said horns.

I tried a girly mage last night. It was fun in the beginning with the higher level stuff, but felt boring on the noob level stuff. I think I'm gonna stick with a rogue, was just a lot of fun jumping around in the middle of a huge battle. I loved how backstab made you poof behind someone and watch em go splat.
Spoiler:
I don't know if it was because I picked the girl lead the 2nd time, or a mage, or just random, but I thought it was interesting how as a male rogue, the warrior brother died in the beginning but as a female mage, the sister mage died instead.
And the warrior dies when you pick rogue too. Fine by me, I didn't like him anyway...
