I was looking at the new Grey Knights on GW website and came across the Jokaero Weaponsmith Monkey thing. It made me laugh.
I wondered what other peoples least favourite Model or race were?

Easy, Ragnar Blackmane, the mini is just so outdated, even with the recent SW release, they never bothered to update it.

I despise pretty much all the space marine models without helmets, they look ridiculous. Including the Chaos space marines.

For individual models, it has to be the beast of nurgle.

For a race, Tau in general.

I also dislike Tau conceptually. Great for Star Wars/Anime, not so hawt for grimdark 40k.

There are alot of bad models; some of the older ones are notorious- especially if they were of the dark elf variety!

I'd have to agree with half of what has been posted. Ragnar definately needs a facelift. Looks way too 2nd edition to me. Jokaero concept is just plain goofy. If I were able to upgrade them with better armor and such, I'd make them proxies, but they are just plain goofy.

Tau are fine by me. And I certainly agree with the fact of Marines without helmets. Just plain goofy. Why wear Terminator armor, the strongest armor ever created and have your head exposed? I know marines are tough and all, but I seriously doubt that they could take a point blank shot with a .45 to the coconut.

Some of the characters in Space Wolf omnibus have been fighting in battles for hundreds of years, you would have thought at least once someone would have got them with a head shot.

Don't forget, TDA may be some of the best protection in the Imperium, but you'll be hard pressed to even begin to match plot armour.

I don't understand why rhinos always have their side doors glued shut. I mean come on- in battle you would NEED to have door that worked. They are models and do not represent literal battlefield appearance. The guy heroically shouting may very well put on a helmet in battle. Or maybe it took a grenade. Or maybe it just helps to break up the monotony of 100 guys all in the same color helmet. I find it hard to understand such pedantic literalism.

Even if they don't wear helmets, it is hardly the most illogical thing in a world where Space daemons and soccer hooligan fungi battle for supremacy.

Least Favorite concept? Tau. I like the play style, but not the race. Could have easily been Squats.

Least Favorite Characters? Mephiston.

Race - Tau. They just don't seem to fit in anywhere.
Mini - Dreadknight. Just... just... eww.

Race? hate almost (Nightbringer is cool) all the Necrons looks. I actually decided to play this game because someone told me about an undead race, and I was pumped about overtaking the 40k universe with legions of the crypt.. then i saw the models.. they look like first edition I Am Robots. With them spending so much time in a dormant slumber it begs the question, Do androids dream of electric sheep? Evil Fail

As for a mini.. I am going to have to go with, you guessed it, Necron warrior. if your only going to have a single available troop choice, make sure that its at least a half decent looking model. fielding 2-6 units of these guys would look sillier than the T-100 in a thriller video. Gak you GW for making a stupid looking machine undead.

Kharn needs an update. The model didn't age badly, but they can do so much better now.

Race or army...hmm. I'd have to say Sisters of battle. I just dont find their fluff great at all. Roman catholic church in space, with angry nuns disposing of their robes and putting on armor, and all getting bleached white bowl haircuts. Yeah, i'll pass.

I like the tusks! I should get my laptop and play "I am the Walrus! Coo-coo-katchoo!" when they Deepstrike for their termicide job.

Model...I don't like the current plague marines. Metal, unimaginative, no weapons/gear choices. They didn't even bother to add the WW1-style spiked helmets. If you mean single model...Lucius. He seems so clownish, I feel I wanna stick him with eldar harlequins. Though even them might think he's too silly to hang around.

Races? Well, I'm not really a fan of Chaos daemons. Other than bloodletters and Thirsters, I hate the models, and their rules feel gimmicky and half-baked. The multi-god armies feel unfluffy and mismatched, and single-god lists have usually huge holes in functionality.

I'm going to have to say the whole Assassin line up... what gets me too is that there not in any chapter or army there just kinda solo doing there thing and are thrown in imperial armies for reasons right now just GK and WH too my knowledge. But seeing them and having seen them for awhile I think they are pretty damn old. How old I don't know but I think its older then I want to know. If they update them I think it would be a nice change for people that like the assassin models and some of them just look silly mostly the Culexus Assassin at the worse, They could make a better model for Callidus and Eversor as well.
The other thing I don't get is the many people that just seem to slap black paint on these guys I mean if they are that bad to just slap black paint on them and add a few white / gold buckles skulls then that's a pretty bad model. The only one to really stand its time and still seem to hold up is the Vindicare Assassin just off his streamlined stereotype of a sniper and riflemen that has fit for years. Despite wanting both of these units for my army bigtime, I cant stand the Ratlings and Ogryns...The stunted little buggers just look all fat and lazy...I mean, I know they are kind of fat and lazy, but they don't have to look lame as well!

For the race, I'd have to say Necrons...Boooooriiiinggg!!

I can't decide if I hate SW or GK more.

As for single characters, Draigo sounds pretty bad but it's too early to say.

I do dislike Vect, he's pretty much perfect and untouchable. I mean what's the point of other kabals/Archons if he's just the bestest, awesomest, super-special-snowflake of em all? I would like to see him bested at least once.

Least favorite race? Tau, as it's been mentioned elsewhere on here, they just don't fit in the grimdark setting.

Model? Old one eye. Battlecrab needs a new model.

I also agree with the sentiment above that the Tau are my least favorite race. When they came out I surmised that GW was trying to make inroads in Japan with an army that is more anime than dark and gothic.

Don't really like the Tau - don't fit into the 40k setting very well and many of their models don't fit into the character of the game either.

The Necrons are interesting, but their model line is so boring.

Individual models that I don't like are Abaddon - really need a new version (and perhaps a win in the fluff as well...jebus...). The greater daemon of Nurgle looks pretty stupid.

An excellent choice - forgot about that one as I use loyalist dreads converted to chaos

I friggin hate the new(ish) Daemonettes models; I think the old ones looked a lot more creepy than outright disgtusting. they all look like pink cheerleaders with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. maybe that was the intention, but I still dun like em.

The new daemonnettes. Sorry to be a creeper, but I love my semi sexy and eerily alien girls of the last edition.

I'm sad about the Tau hate. They are unique in that they are NOT grimdark. I thought it was compelling to be young, vivacious, and optimistic in a banal world. Difficult to stay in that frame of mind with so many horrors in the galaxy. And that's cool.

Jokaero monkey thing. I know its been around since earlier editions. But its just so...odd...

I don't care much about the modeling aspect. That said, yeah, models without a helmet bother me. In addition to the people pointing out the....questionable sense in wearing Pimp Freaking Armor with no helmet, it bothers me as a historian.

In World War I, the French fought, initially, with just their Kepi hats; cloth hats, no protection. However, they were sustaining massive causalities from shrapnel. When they, and all the other combatants, began to issue helmets, a lot more people started living.

BTW, the helmets weren't to protect against MG fire; they were to protect against shrapnel.

Anyways. So, my least-liked type of model is one that lacks a helmet. As for a single character, well, I hate Chenkov because of his rules and fluff. I *hate* the mindset of Chenkov and his ilk.

Least favorite race would be Necrons. Just so plain, hardly any real uniqueness to any of them.

Least favorite model would be your standard genestealer, the ymgarl ones look cool but i just don't like the regular ones. Like middle-aged Tyranids that have gone bald.

I like the Tau, like the models, like the fluff, like their role in the universe.
Also like Necrons.

Least favorite is probably Orks. They just don't interest me.

Least favorite models are the new Pink Horrors. I'll keep my weirdo metal ones.

The new DE carebear, wolfman thing is pretty atrocious, too.
