Not sure of how much interest this will be but just ordered this set for Fear and Faith skirmish game terrain.

Looks a nice set and will save me having to make my own which I was intending to do.
With all the projects that are already behind schedule dipping my hand in my pocket seemed a decent option.
£8 + £2.50 in the UK loks like they shift stuff abroard too
http://renedra.co.uk/webstore.html#

Was thinking the crosses will also be good on a base or two
Set also includes 2 black crows for sitting in a tree.

Those are pretty nifty, as is a lot of their stuff. I'd consider ordering it, but I think by the time I shipped it to the U.S. it might not really be worth the cost :(

Nice, with a little work they'd be perfect for Mordheim terrain.

Like the look of their fences as well.

I think a good source for iron fences would be acessories for porcelain christmas/halloween houses.

As far as I know, Lemax has distributors in the US, Australia and England. A bit of googling should reveal them.

Thank Eilif

Am looking for the wrought iron railings which would be more associated with a Victorian churchyard so the gargoyle fence would be great.

Sadly they are out of stock and the postage may be prohibitive

good thinking though and must remember to keep my eyes peeled in october.

Hirsts Arts have a mould that will dovetail nicely with that range.

Technically it already has gravestones in it but not to that variation. Most importantly as far as this thread is concerned is that it contains railings of a gothis graveyeard stylee!

I have one, see here.

http://www.hirst-arts.co.uk/products/00007-gothic-graveyard.html

There a few people licenced to sell finished hirsts components, worth a look.

Can'y really run to the cost sadly
Some of the Gothic range would be really handy for the architectural details

Nice looking set Notprop
are the results as good?

Tried this about 5 years ago, unfortunately my inexperience with plastics showed and the results were mixed. Good shapes and demoulded well but a few air bubbles and the plastic was far too soft (poor mix).

Only tried once then moved on and forgot about it.

You should look at antenocitis workshop, they have resin sets of other Hirst molds and could well have this one.

Also don't for get Architectural models shops. I used the 4D model shop on London when doing my studies. Very good shop, mind blowing the amount of things they can get but quite dear. Brass etched could be what you want, reinforce with some plastic rod could be a winner.

You can make good iron railings with the railing-shaped trophy spikes in the 40K Chaos vehicle sprue - however there are lots of unsuitable details you'd need to chop off, so they'd only be suitable for rusty/wrecked railings.

Thanks Notprop
Some nice details at Antenociti's but the PE wouldn#t feel right for me. Appreciate the links though and put them in faves

Have a little bit of Chaos trophy railings Clang

Just a thought
If I made a mould could put the horizontal stingers in, using GS for example. Put in some wire uprights, second strip of GS and press.

Cleaning up flash would be a chore but for a simple iron railing it might just work. Not very neo-gothic would be the downside.

Well, with some plasticard strips and rods and some carefull drilling of holes in the strips, you can make railings yourself - could be quite a bit of work though...

That is the problem Clang
Not that I mind some effort of course, but with a gazzillion pending and stalled projects.... well I guess most folks are in the same boat.

I may simply have to do it the long way, was thinking of that method tbh but it will be a last resort!

Railings won't be essential but they sure would look good.

Funny you should ask, someone just pointed me to this site of old toy soldier stuff.

http://www.toysoldiersdepot.com/store.php

And I just happened to see...

http://www.toysoldiersdepot.com/store.php?seller=thedustyloft&Tsearch=fence&pd=187985

It's about 3" tall so you can use it as a high fence or cut it down to size and at $1 a set you should be fine.

As for me, I have an eye on this baby

Forgot all about that KK
Thanks.
That would do cut down, and the cut off would be able to go into a low wall or for surrounding a grave plot.

Just hope the shipping is not too bad to the UK.

That bunker looks like it has potential.

THe only thing is it's probably the soft waxy kind of toy plastic so you'd need kylon or something else to prime it.

Googled Krylon but didn't see anything to suggest but assuming it is acrylic by the name.

There are a few fifferent types , would regular Krylon be okay?

Thanks
will try to remember if get the softer plastics.

Well I ordered the Gravestones yesterday...

and they were on the mat this morning!
How about that for service!

Glad I ordered them as I would only have gotten anywhere near as close with a lot of hard work and time don't wish to spend on the detailing.

They should look the part with a simple wash or two over a grey of choice.
Some seam line on a few of the pieces, but the simplicity of the outline means it will be a simple job to remove it.

Personally I appreciate the more realistic look they have gone for rather than any gimmicky Horror genre with bats etc, and the use of skulls is thankfully limited
(But fitting for 17th century memento mori)

Nothing ill to report* that I can see on the sprue, so all good for me!

*Except I only have a week to try and get them standing up in some terrain + other stuff ready for an Easter Fear and Faith Campaign!

For $2 i'd cast it myself!

If you don't mind substandard products with the tensile strength of chewing gum!

You could always try dolls house products saw some large scale stuff while looking for the 4D shop earlier

You are building a dolls house right?

Pegasus (makers of grimdark scenery) also do a park fence set. Might be a bit ornate but could help
