I posted this about 6 months ago, but updating that post would kinda turn it into a blog, and this isn't the place for that.

I've finished what's maybe my last Necron update (depending on what happens with the new Codex). With the addition of the Tomb Stalker and the Nightbringer....

I've finally finished an army!

There is absolutely nothing I want to add to them right now. So, behold! And if you guys could vote for the glowing green pic, I'd appreciate it.

If you guys would like to marvel at my ability to form perhaps the least competitive or planned army on all of Dakka Dakka, or just mock my horrible photography "skills",, I have an army profile for that too.

I'm at your window

Nice work

Tali'Zorah: I appreciate what you're doing here, Shepard.
Commander Shepard: Well, I care deeply about the quarian people.
Tali'Zorah: It's good to be back on the Normandy.
Commander Shepard: Let me know if it's too quiet for you to sleep, and I'll find you someplace louder.
Tali'Zorah: Hmm.
Garrus Vakarian: Uh, I was there when you two had your thing, remember? Just get a room and work it out.

Onion article:
Pet Owner Not Bothering To Neuter Loser Cat
July 13, 2009 | Issue 45•29

CORAL SPRINGS, FL—Mike Oakland, 29, told reporters Monday he is not about to pay $100 to have his 5-month-old cat, Mowgli, neutered, because he has no expectations that the dull, paunchy tabby will ever get laid.

Mowgli
"For all he's going to use those balls, he might as well keep them," said Oakland, adding that he'd bet anyone any amount of money that the striped kitten will die a virgin. "He never leaves the house, and I've seen how the neighbor cat looks at him. Completely platonic." When reached for comment, a spokesperson from the Florida Humane Society reiterated that it's important to have all pets spayed or neutered, even ugly lame-o's who probably couldn't score in a roomful of calicos in heat.

Wow, that is one nice army. The Monolith is always a thing to be feared, and with the light it looks even more badass. Also, you did a good work with the stalker.

Cool, good job on finishing a pretty looking army.

I really like the crystal formation on the scythe dude, where is it from? I'v been googling around for small crystals to paint glowing orange and decorate ash/lava bases to make them look similar to the terrain in the last missions of Starcraft 2.

Great work man! Particularly like the elites/fast attack choices; the white masks in particular, like yourself. Great looking army, the Monolith is beautiful and the LED's aren't OTT which is nice. The Tomb Stalker is a great job too.
Overall an excellent job man. So which army's next?

Man, I am telling you, this one is. I don't have one single unfinished model. So I can bask in it's completeness for another... what, 3 months, until the new Necron Codex is released? Sigh.

I didn't buy them - I made them. I chopped & shaped up some thick sprue, and an allen wrench (that kinda sucked, by the way, it took all morning with a dremel tool) and then made a mold of it. I demolded the originals, and then cast them in clear resin with a tiny touch of green + yellow fluorescent tint. I'm not crazy with them, as I went too far with the tint and they were more opaque then I was aiming for, but it's a simple base, the nightbringer comes off of it easily, and I might try again later.

I have orange tint, if you'd like me to cast you up some orange crystals, send me a PM. I'd do it for cost (postage, essentially).

Just Dave wrote:So which army's next?

I have a lot of stuff for Orks which is pending painting, and a few space marine things (2 land raiders and a predator) but the only army I'm still developing (i.e. buying stuff for) are my CSM, as I haven't quite decided where I'm going with them.

Thank you all for your comments. I am proudest of my Necrons, as they have always been my favorites.

It's not so bright as it seems in that pic; it's an intentional effect I created by turning off the light and drawing the curtains closed. I have used resistors in some of my lighted Kans where they were blinding.
