Quite incredible.

And if mortals can go through that, I would not want to see what GW imagine for Space Marine aspirants

Probably work

I've gone about 43 hours without sleep. After about 38 the sleep deprivation sets in and it's hard to focus on anything. There's hallucinations as well. Of course, I also have spells of sleeping 12+ hours at a time.

Whatever it is, it's hyperbolic. GW only writes in superlatives.

If you read the fluff about Space Marines it details that SM can go weeks without sleep due to the fact they can use 1 side of their brain while they let the otherside rest, thus allowing them to remain fully awake even while resting up.

Of course they are space marines after all whereas human use both sides of the brain constantly

Heres proof that one of my Uncles is a complete and utter idiot. He once told my brother and myself, that the State Police have a FAR more difficult training program then the seals.....true story. He's not a police officer of any kind, hes a certified diesel mechanic. I dunno, the guy is a slow

When I was pretending to go through BUDS I fictitiously had no trouble getting through Hell Week. Not sure what the big deal is, really wasn't that hard.

Yep. I once stayed awake for about 50 hours with the help of a case of jolt cola, and I thought that I was able to alter gravity and that I was walking around on the ceiling. And that was without any 190 proof everclear in it.

You actually did do all those things, it is just that when the jolt cola wore off so did your amazing powers.

nope its a myth just like the physical requirements of the police.

Anyway the Space Marines probably have to do alot more than just that, to them its more than just that.

on a side note i have gone 60 hours without sleep using lots of gatorade and mountain dew (Do not attempt). Afterwards i started seeing weird stuff. and then the next day after 60 hours of sleep i noticed it was actually 48 hours of sleep and that i had dreamed the other 12 hours, explaining how I was able to have 30 girls talk to me and ask me to go out on a date with them. :/

Mate, dont you remember when I was talking to GES about this? I told him how hardcore SF training is having done it, and he said

"My brother is in the border patrol and he said their training makes SEALS cry!"

And then Dogma pointed out his brother was probably embelishing his story to try and impress him, and the lad spat his dummy out.

Seriously, men are men, and as a result everyone likes to make out like they have it the toughest, but even civilians know that only the military do actual diffcult training, and even thats easy for the most part. Only SF training is hard, regular army/navy/airforce stuff is fething gay. And I know because ive done it.

I joined regular army infantry as a teenager, and spent two years with the Yorkshire regiment before I joined RM commando. ordinary phys.. 6 mile runs.. 10 mile marches, gym work.. assault courses carrying only rifles.

But then a few years down the line I meet some lads from the Yorkshire regiment .. "Oh you guys arent so tough, our training is just as hard!"

That's men for you.. vain creatures we are, and we all like to act like Billy Big Balls.

I can say that its probably down to personal preference..

For example, I'm good with heights, I preferred the "Tarzan assault course" to the 30 mile yomp across dartmoor which made all my short arsed toe nails fall off, but the big long legged 6 footers in my troop were vice versa, or another example, if you aint a big swimmer, you will prefer PJs to SEALS.

I dont think a civvie (or someone who hasn't served in pretty much everything, and who is crazy enough to do that?!) can really state anything with much credibility, suffice to say they are all hard in their own way. The macho "who is toughest" thing really doesn't serve a purpose, and relaisitically, i dont think it could ever be answered satisfactorily anyway!

I can't even recall when I had my first one as I've been permitted to have at it with food for about as long as I can remember, it's just been a normal presence in life.

But I am of the opinion that familiarity with such substances from a young age makes you less likely to abuse them when you are finally released upon the world...

HA! I do remember that. I recently was talking with a friend who was in the Marines (USMC, not RM) and apparently Marine boot camp is harder and more in depth than even Army Ranger training. The only thing close to Marine Boot Camp is BUDS and Green Beret training, it would seem.
