You mean what I thought 'choons' actually said or what choons actually mean in Aus?

Love the epic feel of "Again", slightly too far towards the electronica end rather than the metal, but you sound as though you have a great deal of potential and a very deep, brooding sound...very nice...so much so that it earned you another "like".

Either! Assuming it's safe to repeat on a friendly forum like Dakka?

Well, choon (-h) can both refer to a particular skin colour or, more popular, a brand of cheese.

Not to my taste, sorry. However, it's very well executed, and the production is crisp. It's a good example of the genre, it's just not a genre I like.

I hope you do well though, and wish you guys the best of luck.

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

Thanks for the comments guys. I appreciate you taking the time to reply, especially if it's not really your thing!

Cheers.

Good gak It'll go on a play list or two for me easily. Hard to find music that's really polished but still has the driving feel and element to it.

Edit: Kind of a good summary for me, this is the kind of music that I love to BDSM to. It captures both aggression and beauty which sort of sums up what's going on. Feel free to do whatever you like with that little tidbit

Not my kind of music. But as mentioned it sounded like it was done well enough. Its shocking hearing so many foklks on DAKKA that are good musicians. Im used to hearing people around where I live say that and they are terrible

Just started listening, but DAMN is the beginning of Whole epic. The first 1:20, I mean.

I'm not too fond of the vocals [especially the half done screamo backing vocals] but the music itself is fantastic.

Though it does go on for a bit and is a touch... samey.

I'm a total metal head.
I like Electronica.
I love industrial.

But, I don't like it. I'm sorry. I find myself trying to like it, but it just sounds like you've layered two tracks over one another. The Electronic and metal parts just seem to be too different to work.

On the upside, both parts are good. I just don't like them together.

I'm no music man (yet), but I think the background singer needs to maybe be a little quieter; in I Am he almost overpowers your lead singer, which is bad, in my humble opinion.

Edit: But I do like it.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts guys.

And no need to apologise, we're all entitled to our opinions, and if we all thought the same then the world would be a very dull place indeed.

Thanks!

Edit- BTW I do also agree about the comments re: backing vox in 'I Am..'. I would bore you all to death though if I was to list all the things that I could criticise about the tunes.

Not bad, I'd listen to more of this.

Out of interest, what do you do in the band?

Cheers Mike.

To answer your question, I wrote, performed and recorded everything you hear on these tracks. Umm, except the female vocals obviously!
For our live performances I play guitar and do the male vox.

Had a great time at the weekend, which was well earned, and needed too after the gak week i've had.

It's always funny seeing the response from the 'normals' at this sort of gig, but we converted some at least, and we even got Wickhamstock's first ever mosh pit going (much to the bemusement of the land owner, who shuffled over to tell the throwdown hoodlums to be careful of the little'uns I believe. They carried on anyway )

We were saluted by the organiser by being described as "the most creative band they've ever had at the festival", "other-worldly", and "from another parallel dimension" or something. Yeah, he was as drunk at the time... Still, I thought that was a pretty amicable way of saying 'WTF just happened!'

Oh and as far as I know, unlike the last family-friendly festival we played, I didn't make any kids cry with those dinosaur noises this time. Hrmm... nevermind.

Pics!

Had a meeting yesterday, and if all goes according to plan with future discussions we will have a promotion/marketing/distribution deal on the cards!

Not bad for just over a month of online exposure! Woot!
