I just got a new rank that made me laugh. "Arch Magos w/ 4 Meg of RAM" My last two were funny too: "Servo-Arm Flailing Magos" and "Quick-Fingered Moderatus". Though I think my favorite I've seen so far is "Bush? No, Eldar Ranger". Most of them are pretty funny, what are some of your guys favorites?

It's not like you were using it anyway. As a corporate drone, I didn't think I had enough soul left to sacrifice, but after scraping the bottom of the barrel they found enough to accept me.

There's a ranking system starting with 0 posts and going up from there. If you have a Dakka Contributing Membership, you can choose from any rank or make your own.

No, you pick your favorite faction in your profile.

Kam and Brook are both right. You indeed select a faction in your profile section, and your rank changes depending on your post count. (Higher post count is a 'cooler' rank.) And DCM's may indeed select their own. I like earning them, though. (And I am not too wild about my current one.)

I assume he, and most other GW employees, do have accounts here and on other major 40k sites. They'll never announce who they are (at least, without full corporate permission and having the account taken over by marketing), but I assume they're involved in the 40k community anonymously.

Lurking would be easier.

I just check all the ranks whenever mine changes to see if there's something I like more.
