I like it. I don't understand all the hate in the comments and would have come to the same conclusion on my own, honestly.

I just don't see why anyone would use IE at this point, Firefox and Chrome are just better in every way.

The question isn't why do I kill. The question is, why I don't kill everybody.

I use IE. I have not yet, in over a decade of use, encountered a problem.

If it 'aint broke, don't fix it.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I would so ride a horse everywhere if, you know, I wouldn't look like a complete tool.

Maybe the longsword and armour would be slightly overkill...

The only reason I use IE is for windows updates. I would let it auto-update, but I don't trust it to do what I want.

I walk everywhere I possibly can shirtless. You'd be far from being near as much a tool as me if it makes you feel any better They'd only laugh at you until you slew their first dragon, then they'd shut upl.

In your base, ignoring your logic.

I use firefox and IE, because I like to double dip. Anyways, you get a discount on Games Workshop's site if you use firefox so I use firefox to snag great deals on the interwebs.

So why is IE bad?

Can't say I have noticed any problems with it.

The report suggests that people using Explorer, the built-in, default browser for Windows-based computers, may be more resistant to change.
What a shock.

Wow... that article was nothing but an opinion piece. I don't use IE but even posting such an article outs the writer and those that did the "test" as idiots that use limited data as absolutes.
IE users resistant to change? Doubtful as he points out it's the default browser on all Microsoft based machines. If Firefox or Chrome were the defaults would he label the people that kept using them as resistant to change? The majority of people use IE because they just don't know about other browsers.
Seems to me to be another "I use something different and normal people are sheep" article that one sees all the time on the internet.

I was told that as the most popular browser more nasties out there were designed to target it, unlike other broswers.

Anyway, I find IE cluttered and confusing with too many bars that want to add themselves at the top and, at least on the version in work, I can't just get the Browsing History at a click. It's just a pain in the ass.

Google Chrome is clean and simple and I hope it stays that way.

Opera is my referred piece, though admittedly it's a bit out of habit-- I like it more than firefox at least. I'm pondering eventually trying out Chrome.

I don't mined IE9 so much, but I dunno why the hell the still can't do text shadows. that bugs me the most.

I used to use Safari all the time on my mac, but lately I'm liking Chrome better. Google is going to take over the world soon. The mayans even predicted it, it's gonna happen in 2012.

I imagine the simple answer is that people who are not computer literate just use the browser that comes with their computer as opposed to combing the net to find out what the alternatives are. They look at porn, play WoW, and check their email. Everything else is irrelephant.

Don't know, I decided to upgrade to 8 and it seems pretty simple. My toolbar has file, edit, view, favorites, tools, and of course help. Besides that there's nothing really there unless I decide to open up another window or another tab. I like the spell check in Firefox though, that's a really welcome feature as opposed to opening google in a tab. I had to get rid of bing as my home page though, for goodness sake I hate bing.

It's a Microsoft search engine. Most people use it to get to Google.
