Anyone know why it is called Bing? It seems fine as a person's name but if I was going to set up a search engine I would want to try and think of a cool catchy name. Bing just seems lacking. Mind you Twitter hardly sounds brilliant and it has taken off (pun not intended)

Firefox, really?
I don't understand all the love for Firefox... when I used it, it wouldnt load sites correctly and so I got it the hell of my machine.
Google Chrome seems to have too many holes where stuff that is useful used to be.

You get a discount for using a particular browser?

OMGz I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU GUYS AREN'T USING AOL OPENRIDE
But on a serious note. I respect that for a lot of people it seems so much simpler (and satisfactory) to stay with the default browser, be it IE, safari, or firefox (ubuntu etc). But from my experience, pretty much everyone finds the alternatives superior in some way, and I think this is partially due to a prolonged focus on the downsides of their default browser (and possibly due to a will to be perverse).
And for the record, I am using Chromium (OMG so perverse!)

Some people need to get a life. They are all as bad as one another. When I try and access a HP Media server at work, Chrome feels it needs to download something, but nothing happens, IE goes straight in. On the other hand, IE seems to kick off more graphic card errors. It's been awhile since I uesd the other ones, but they had niggles as well.
The world of PC software is the biggest con/ rip off / time waste on the planet. Nothing is really 100% compatible, there's always some "tweak" you have to do get a job done.

Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

I use Chrome and rather like it. It is pretty cut and dry once you get use to its configuration and I love it for that. It also feels faster on my PC then IE or Firefox

Firefox all the way. Having plugins to do almost anything you want rules.
BTW, is there a Dakka plugin for Firefox?
