This table has been evolving for a long time and still continues to evolve.

This cathedral ended up being damn near 4 feet across (the entire width of the table) and well, because of that it has been relegated to to the someday pile

This cathedral is one of those projects that I just can't seem to finish properly. I want the 2x2' base to have broad stairs and wrought iron fencing....I haven't found the right fencing yet, and I don't want to buy 20 Garden of Morr kits either.

assuming you are talking about the one that is painted:
1 shrine of the Aquilla
almost a full Imperial Sector (sans the AdMech panels)
The towers are cut out necromunda Bulkheads, and the roof and rear wall ruin I made from plasticard.

I was never happy with this for some reason

The other (temporarily backburnered one) is 100% Pegasus Gothic building panels

muhahaha..

yeah, the table is 6x4, with slats every 2 feet square for support 2" down from the lip. The 1/2" plywood has a vinyl grass mat glued on one side of a 4x4' section, and the textured paint I rolled onto the other side and painted as city/tarmac. The 2x4' section is only concreted, the other side is natural wood for dice rolling/book holding on the 4x4 grass mat.

I used 2x2" pine for the legs and 1x8" stuff all around. all the plans on the web call for 2x4" stuff, this is perfectly stable, only cost me about $30 to build.

@ Captainsolstice, yep, I think it is :
2x small city set #1
2x small city set #2
2x Gothic city building large set
and probably a few spare panels

The cathedral is amazing......the only way you can make it good was adding an external floor whit stairs....the ground is alittle poor of detail

The base is too big 2x2'- I should have made it smaller. Instead, I want to find/build some gothic wrought iron fencing to go around the perimeter of the base (ruined at the back of course. The paintjob was also never really finished because of this indecision of mine.

Really Vk? you like the paintjob? As you can see, it was originally reeeally green, It's been re-painted three times and I still don't like it for some reason. It's no skill really, just a helluva lot of heavy drybrushing. This is where using good glue pays off IMO, parts and bitz don't come off!

Thanks a lot Gitsplitta! I am a fan of yours too!

And Kaizer..If you are ever in Fort Wayne, IN, let's play on it!

yep me likes^^ well to tell you the truth i haven´t really finetuned into the art of drybrushing... it is a 50:50 chance i ruin everything when i try to...mostly i use too much and too fresh paint and thus ruin my beforehanded work...that much of drybrushing makes good muscle training^^ or do you do this with long and easy strokes? for me i just wave about like freaking hell and i would so surley strain something in that effort^^

This is the newest piece of the city, the landing pad and fancy entry bunker building. The back is open, and unfinished so far

The walkway, pad, and building all have matching magnets inset into the styrene

yes, yes, needs weathering, I know..oof

lol... i thought that too...chibi^^

that painting is so cool...very vibrant colors! that blue i particularly like! what will you do with the white eagle at the bunker entry? i guess this wont stay as bright as that...am i right?^^

but these latest pics bear the question: do you ever sleep? or do you have a fancy time machine? one of these or maybe both would be needed for me^^

Looking really good dsteingass. I like the vibrant blue (though I know it'll probably get toned down a bit by the weathering). Very nice work. That shot of the bridge with the feet sticking out is pretty hilarious.

Thanks, the blue was the last of a color of craft paint I had called Liberty Blue, I need to find some more of that stuff. I wanted to recreate the blues and greens from the Necromunda card terrain. You can see the same blue and weathering over in that thread (link in sig). However, I'm not sure how to weather the white yet, we shall see.
