Nurglings. Troop choice that costs me less than 40 points for a unit, leaving me room for my big gun Daemons.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Uh not troops...they are elites.

I'd say wyches. They are beasts in CC and if given FNP they can have FNP, FC, and they have a high initative. They can also be given tank hunting duty with haywires. The hekatrix can be given that wounds a carnifex and guardsmen the same and denies armor. Combined with a 4++ and the ability to have 1/5 reroll hit and wound, 1/5 get extra d6 attacks, and/or 1/5 deny every enemy an attack. Plus drugs. Everybody loves the drugs

Imperial Guard Veterans. 70 pts, can take 3 special weapons, and their sergeant can be equipped with quite a few upgrades. For 30 pts, they can get stealth and defensive grenades, or melta bombs (each) and a demolition charge (6" S8 AP2 Large Blast Assault 1). Also BS 4.

Grey Hunters. They get everything normal marines and chaos marines get, but cheaper and better.

They do suck. Individually. However, when you put down a mob of 30, with big shootas, and PK Nob, then they get crazy.

6 points for someone who's awesome in melee isn't bad, far from it.

Don't forget the transports...

Driven away from WH40K by rules bloat and the expense of keeping up, now interested in smaller model count games and anything with nifty mechanics.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.
