The Conflict is an Independent Grand Tournament which places an emphasis on high sportsmanship in a highly competitive setting. All players are expected to show an in-depth knowledge of the rules and to act accordingly, bringing nothing short of a gentleman's attitude to the event. With that being said, The Conflict GT promotes an opportunity for many of the elite gamers in their community to meet, play games, and most importantly, have a bunch of good laughs. The Conflict GT is a proud member of The NortheastWarhammer Indy GT Circuit and a sponsor of the Overlord Trophy.

What’s New?

For our 4th year, The Conflict GT brings to you two new systems of table top gaming!

Flames of War! This year we will add 15tables for Battlefront Miniatures: Flames of War! 30 players will be playing 5games spread out over two days. We will be trying to add our own Conflict: FoW event to the National FoW registry, so be on the lookout for more information! Make sure you sign up, spots will go fast!

Warmachine! In addition to Flames of War, we will also be expanding to Privateer Press: Warmachine! 20 tables will be available for at least 3different events over the weekend. WM players will have the option of buying tickets for each event separately, or by buying a pass for all of the weekend’s activities! Trophies and prizes will be awarded for each event. Players who test their luck in all three events have the opportunity to compete for one GIANT trophy! Be on the lookout for more information and scheduling.

Overlord comes to 40K! As promised lastyear, Conflict 2012 will kick off the first event for the 40K North East IndyGT Circuit and player results will be recorded at specific events. 40K players will now have the ability to compete for one of the most sought after trophies in all of the North East and the title of Overlord!

We will continue to grow in numbers for both 40K and WHFB as we now enter our 4thyear and looking to make this the best Conflict ever! We will be adding a doubles tournament to our Friday and Saturday night lineup. Also be on the lookout for more information regarding the Conflict Crowns- Conflict’s new painting competition!

The Conflict GT

Who: All Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k, Flames of War and Warmachine players above the age of 16. Players who are under the age of 16 will be dealt with on a case by case basis pending the approval of parent/guardian and the Tournament Organizer.

What: 2500 points Warhammer Fantasy. 1750 points 40K. 1750 Points of Flames of War. 25, 35, & 50 points of Warmachine.
Please read all the General Rules for each respective event.

When: January 13th, 14th & 15th

4th year... and I'll try for that title again.

Its already on my calendar. I had a blast last year, and wouldn't miss coming back for the world.

I played 40k last year. A far as I know, its still at Palisades Park Mall, since I didn't see any mention of a change of venue. It. Was a great spot for a tournament, as the BfS folks seemed to agree with.

I'm in DC already. Won't be back up that way until Mechanicon, sadly.

I'm hoping to get my ogres painted up for the friday night WFB event at Mechanicon, to warm up for Conflict. We'll see if the plan survives the the chaos that the stores and my 5 year old twins generate.

I'll likely be there again, though I hope there are two huge improvements on last year (and if they only fix one thing, it's at least the first one):

1. We get proper Swiss pairing after round 1 and not the totally random thing that's happened at the last 2 of these I've been to.

2. I'd like to see either a) an acknowledgement that will be basic missions or b) the missions in advance, so that people can plan for them if they're as a-typical as before.

I should be there. Hopefully get my wolves done by then.

I didn't catch that. Thats an interesting change.

Not super psyched about 2k; it's going to make time crunch more of a factor. That said, as long as the pairings thing is worked out, I'll be happy. This has always been a fun event.

Kinda wish they had some more details posted about the Next GT, before sending out a call to arms :(

What period is the Flames of War tournament (Late, Mid, Early)?

About the under 16 thing, I participated last year, I assume I'm allowed in this year as well?

Twins are now 5 and in kindergarten, some of the pressure is off. I'll just lock my hobby room, (they figured out clippers the other day...snip...snip..."Daddy, the fairies arm fell off!.), and come up for the weekend. I like the Saturday night fun and playing with a hangover the next day. The wife gave me a long talking to tonite. (For the unmarried, not the difference between 'talked with wife', and 'wife talked at me', the second means the subject means a lot more to her.) She wants a focus on the slowly deteriorating structure we live in. So I figure if I crank a little on the home maintenance, I can sneark out for a weekend in january.

FOW Update!

It is my pleasure to announce that this years Conflict GT will be an official Regional Qualifier and will shortly be added to the FoW website. In addition to prize support directly from BattleFront we will have multiple awards/trophies for our participants to take home. As many of you do know, if we do fill up all 30 spots, 5 qualifying spots can be earned at this years Conflict to Nationals!

This will be one of the largest FoW events in the North East!

I look forward to meeting many new faces and seeing some older ones. I am extremely happy to expand Conflict towards new systems, and proud to say that Flames of War is one of them. I was wondering about the 50pt doubles and 35pt for the warmahordes event? Can you be more clear on the Doubles rule on HIghlander?

I was wondering how the terrain will be. There seems to be a "split" in the tournament community about terrain, with some enjoying the MVB Nova-esque "get some terrain that actually blocks LOS" concept, while others enjoy the "damn the terrain no hiding for you!" concept. With such a huge potential difference in gameplay, this would be something it would be nice to know in advance.

I should also be there....my Skaven got a face lift this year....and I can't wait to field them!

Great! How are certain necron rules being ruled for the event? Specifically Entropic Strike (when hits are resolved), placement of created scarabs from spyders, what can be re-rolled by the Chronometron, and many others...

Can you come to this tournament solo or do you need to be part of a team?
