You're playing a game of 40k 5th Edition, all the rules and everything we have now.
Your dice have six sides.

Half the sides have a 1 and half the sides have a 6.

Discuss how the game progresses.

orks are now unstoppable.

Half of the time they pass their armor saves,
Half of the time they hit will their shots.

Marines are now the worst army in the game. its nearly pointless to take psykers, and with them failing half their saves and shooting with only 50% accuracy, they are reduced to the same effectiveness as 6 point ork boyz.

Its a bleak, bleak day to be a marine player.

All elite armies become unplayable.

All horde armies become unstoppable.


The game becomes extremely unfun for everyone.

'Nids being awesome? I love it.

Sag meks become unstoppable. Noone survives.

Chaos Daemon Weapons are so not worth it now. ESPECIALLY the Khorne one.

In fact, avoid Gets Hot weapons like the plague.

SAG meks either auto wipe a everything under the template, get decent strength, or the gun goes boom...

horde armies slaughter, shooting armies suck, and orks win (like always)

And psykers now become unplayable due to the fact that the amount of doubles you now roll... eek.

Ld Tests have a 1/4 chance of failing, unless your LD is below 7, in which case 3/4.

Much better chances of getting a funny picture of 10 1s rolled in a row.

Hordes. Hordes everywhere. Orks? Unstoppable. IG Infantry spam? Unstoppable. Gaunts? Unstoppable.

I love it! 40k using coin flips haha.

DE Poison Weapons are almost worthless now, save for high toughness models still. I think.

A large number of people quit 40k because it's becoming more and more obvious that the GW execs are just coming up with cynical ploys to sell even more dice and models at the cost of fun. (Hey kids, buy all of your dice AGAIN!)

It actually wouldn't matter at all to DE poison weapons, they still have a 50/50 chance to wound


That said, yeah, having only 1's and 6's in a 50/50 distribution makes anything relying on volume way more powerful than it was before, and anything relying on low failure chance atrocious.

Using said OP rules who would come out on top in a mass manage a trios battle royal between:

Necrons lay waste with Gauss weapons rending / glancing, but don't "come back" as often as they used to.

Do not speak of the D20 in 40k universe, it will only bring pain and suffering... Actually it's kind of a good idea

I would just hate to see GK vs Tyranid's SitW. They are guarenteed to suffer perils.

It would be worth it to try just once to watch all of my friend's GK die.

Uh, wouldn't it be the same exact chance to get WBB? Right now they come back 1/2 the time (on a 4+). If there were 3 1s and 3 6s, they would come back 1/2 the time (on a 6).

But yes, Necrons would actually get a nice little boost. They effectively lose 1 BS to only ever get their autoglances.
