It's well written, has good animation, believable characters, a decent plot, and has created a community that doesn't self-cannibalize at the drop of a hat.
It helps to recapture the feeling of waking up on a Saturday morning to watch cartoons. It's a wonderful, childlike feeling.
But mainly, I love it for the same reason I love Doctor Who when I started watching it.
It's fun. It's entertaining. You start wondering what next week's episode will be.

ive seen lots of other shows out there aimed at kids,possibly girls specifically,and they weren't cute to me. plus faust has done other shows,and i never found them cute.

What does Imperial Guard ( in your avatar ) have. that MLP doesn't have?
Its just a visual representation, most people are beyond that intolerance xD
You get your lasguns and exterminatus, MLP get sonic rainboom and Buccaneer Blaze
You get psyckers, MLP gets telekinesis
You get your brother saving brother, MLP gets pony saving lots of ponies
Yoy get your drama via Chaos temptations, Rainbow dash fought against hers too.
MLP has everything warhammer has, and a bunch more in form of Parodies.
The only difference is, you take comfort in thinking little soldiers is manly. Which.... I respect the guys that tolerate MLP wayyyyyyyyy more.
because atleast they seem confident in what they like.
