We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.
I think there will be an acadamy award nomination for this.
I would never have picked that as Merryl Streep and her mannerisms and the accent is superb.

The "Iron Lady" was our first (and so far only) female prime minister back in day. She is either hated or adored, depending on what political bent you were raised with. She kicked the bum of the unions, kicked the bum of the Agries, and survived at least one assassination attempt by the IRA (they blew up the hotel where her political party were having a conference).

I disagree with that silver. Not everyone is raised with their political bent, although I grant you that most seem to be. Almost all of my friends that feel strongly about politics (only a few of them) have parents that are equally vocal, and being from the Boro, yes they are almost all diehard Labour voters.
I wasn't raised with a political bent, my mum died young and my Dad doesn't vote and has the "I hate them all" attitude, probably because he is from the Labour heartland of the North East, and leans towards the labour party, but realised that they cant run a country and every time they have been in power we have wound up in the poor house.
I educated myself on politics after no influence from my disinterested Father and am of the persuasion that If you aren't willing to work hard, you don't deserve feth all.
As a result I loathe socialists and left leaning people, I don't care if poor people cant heat their homes (wear a jacket) and I would rather starve to death than sign on. I also find it terribly crass that the left celebrate her impending death and say things like "I hope she gets cancer". I dislike Gordon Brown but I don't pray for the man's death.
Granted I have a very aggressive attitude, see things in black and white, and my pride is my whip, but it stems from a (granted somewhat unfair) distaste for weakness and whinging that I believe the military instilled in me, but I certainly wasn't raised with it.

I know a man who has a bottle of champagne ready for her death. Frankly, I find that detestable, but it sort of shows just how much some reviled her.
On the other hand, many people think she was one of the best.

Looks to be a half decent watch , but i hope whom ever has made it hasn't tried to demonise or cannonise her in the film as that is the pitfall a number of political films fall into.

I watched The Young Ones a lot when I was growing up.
Go figure
Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

"You need not fear us, unless you are a dark heart, a vile one who preys on the innocent; I promise, you can’t hide forever in the empty darkness, for we will hunt you down like the animals you are, and pull you into the very bowels of hell." Iron - Within Temptation

Well, she WAS one of our best - her policies pulled Britain's economy back from the very brink of the abyss, turning London into a global powerhouse of finance once again. There is no way that today we would stand for the mess the country was in when she took over. The problem is, in this country we don't like taking our medicine, and the type of economic correction the country underwent is always painful for some, as we are currently seeing. That the Left has a significant number of allies in the popular cultural industries of the UK tends to convince us that the only narrative is doom and gloom for the nation's working class. If you listened to Ben Elton or Alexei Sayle you'd think that the 80s were the apocalypse and that poor people were being ground up and put in pies. However, if you speak to someone who got to buy their council house and become a homeowner for the first time, or who bought shares during the utility privatisations, you'd be forgiven for thinking that they were the golden years for post-war Britain.
The truth is probably somewhere in between, but the fact remains that she had many years of distinguished public service and I think we in the UK owe Baroness Thatcher a debt of gratitude. I genuinely believe that she tried to do the right thing for the country, as opposed to the self-serving Tony Blair, who I'm convinced doesn't have an honest bone in his body.
I'll be seeing this film. Matty? Man date?

Nobody with any brain matter between their ears likes Tony Bliar, I think we can all agree on that (and anyone that can't should just be shot, damn space wasters).
