They either fight to the last man or run away. No surrender.

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it.

Orks never surrender or lose

If an ork win, he wins. If an ork runs away, its only to get more boyz to fight again. If a ork dies, well he is dead it doesn't count.

That being said, orks are also never given the oppertunity to surrender if they even wanted too.

When life give you lemons keep them, because hey, free lemons

Everybody else is just going to kill you.

If they never retreated, they wouldn't have to explain why retreating doesn't make them lose.

Surrender is still surrender...
You can technically surrender to anything and anyone...
The only thing that will surrender is possibly IG to Tau...

IG wouldn't accept a surrender, they shoot their own men for wasting ammunition. Xenos, Heretics, Mutants, they get no mercy.

With the new Necron Fluff, a honorable Space Marine might get treated as a POW by the Necrons. There's stuff in there about Overlords treating enemy commanders as honored captives.

As long as you were useful you could surrender to anybody really (cept the nids I guess... Unless you count getting digested surrendering).

The whole, rah rah, kill everyone is great on the surface, but tactical situations would dictate how to deal with an enemy combatant surrendering. Intel is key.

Orks don't surrender. They will retreat and/or fall back to bolster their numbers to have another go. But Orks just do not say "We give up, take us in."

Attempt to surrender to any of the following and:

-Imperium (Space Marines, IG, SoB, Arbites, Inquisition, etc.): DIE HERETIC/XENOS/MUTANT FILTH and a laser bolt in the head most of the time. SM or IG may capture/torture you for intelligence though, then kill you. AdMec will turn you into a servitor or grind you up into natural resources.

-Chaos: Will use you as a slave or a sacrifice for daemonic rituals. Dark Apostle/Storm of Iron show just how unpleasant it is to be a Chaos slave. Pray they're not Emperor's Children or Bile or you're in for an even worse time.

-Orks: Most of the time it's LOL and a shoota to the head, though if it isn't in the head of battle you'll probably get worked to death as a slave

-Eldar: Shuriken in the head after you put your hands up. The Path of the Warrior book actually has a scene where an Administratum adept tries to surrender to a Dire Avenger and gets executed

-Dark Eldar: lol, one doesn't even need to start. Just kill yourself

-Tyranids: Om Nom nom

-Necrons: If you're honorable and fought well you're a "honored captive" (oh Matt Ward)

-Tau: POW camp, probably for a heavy dose of re-education and propaganda about the Greater Good.

This is definitely not true.

The IG are perfectly willing to accept an unconditional surrender, so that the Imperium can re-educate the planet in the name of the Emperor. And in the very rare occasions that an alien race isn't hostile to the Imperium, the IG typically doesn't war against them in the first place...

Being knocked unconscious and/or unable to fight isn't the same as surrendering.

Err, actually tactical retreat is an Orky plan, so that they can come back with more gunz, more boyz, and more wagonz.

What Ork wouldn't like a bigger, better war?

Ya but if you have to knock out all your troops then they can't fight. At the very least orks need to be able to cry uncle.

They don't need to knock them out. Most of the boyz are glad to follow under a right proppa nob/boss/lord. It's only other nobs/bosses/lords that really need krumpin'.

Well, except that they have the galaxy's most stable society, biology even tougher than that of the Astartes, and the fact that they've taken over the majority of the galaxy.

Which is why they are the most powerful, numerous, and successful race in the galaxy.

When an entire galaxy is coloured Green, the Orks have pretty much won.

Stated by Grey Templar:The Ward of the Codices
"It began, with the writing of the Great Codices,
2 were given to the Eldar. Immortal, Capricious, and most farsighted of all,
2 also to Chaos. Traitorous, Deceitful, Servants of the Dark Gods,
3 to the Xenos races. T'au, Orks, and Necrons. the Young, the Beast, and the Spiteful,
7 to the race of men. Servents of the God Emperor, the Inheritors of the Galaxy.

But they were all of them, decieved. for another Codex was written…
In the Land of Ward'or, in the Fires of Mount Doom, the Dark Lord Matthew wrote in secret, a Master Codex, to rule all the others. One by one, all the armies of the other Codices fell to the power of the Codex, and from this Darkness, none could see hope.

But there were some, who resisted. a Last Alliance of Men and Xenos took up arms against the forces of Ward'or and on the Slopes of Mount Doom they fought for the freedom of 40k."

Possibly even the universe, it's mentioned in one of the codices I think. A probe was sent out there thousands of years back, and it still gives off a faint signal after all that time, the feedback they're getting all seems to be "of Orkish nature".

Superior -and- unbeatable, I say!
