I'm pretty sure they do have entertainment of some sort so consoles is not out of the question.
Not meaning to be a grammar nazi but can you correct "pissibility"?
Thanks.

I'm sure there is a possibility, but I don't think they exist. On most worlds that feature that level of technology, entertainments and diversions are state-controlled. Television shows, for instance, are almost always religious in nature, venerating the God-Emperor, or are pure propaganda, detailing (or fabricating) IG victories in ongoing wars and the like. From the fluff, the closest they get to a fictional show is something akin to Masterpiece Theatre, though all of the stage-plays presented are, again, religious or political in nature, and the political ones are simply propaganda.

I would assume that if there was a game, it would describe how awesome the Emprah is, and the game might even be something like a singing game, except with prayers and what-not.

The Imperium might be a bit too "classical" for them, and the Eldar might consider themselves above such "childish" distractions, but I could totally see the Tau having videogames. Definitely seems like the kind of thing they'd enjoy. I can see the orks playing some crude version of an arcade console.
It's have to be pretty robust though, to survive the 'player-psychosis' that makes stable individuals throw hissy-fits when they lose.. Automatically Appended Next Post: I can see a Dark Eldar version of R-type or other obscenely difficult arcaders.
Maybe with a built in victim that gets tortured as you get power-ups so that you can soak up the vibe..

I very much doubt it. But who needs video games when one can watch actual gladiator pit fights and boxing matches .

Agreed. If there are tv shows, they probably show some type of war series where the IG always win or sports etc.

Stated by Grey Templar:The Ward of the Codices
"It began, with the writing of the Great Codices,
2 were given to the Eldar. Immortal, Capricious, and most farsighted of all,
2 also to Chaos. Traitorous, Deceitful, Servants of the Dark Gods,
3 to the Xenos races. T'au, Orks, and Necrons. the Young, the Beast, and the Spiteful,
7 to the race of men. Servents of the God Emperor, the Inheritors of the Galaxy.
But they were all of them, decieved. for another Codex was written…
In the Land of Ward'or, in the Fires of Mount Doom, the Dark Lord Matthew wrote in secret, a Master Codex, to rule all the others. One by one, all the armies of the other Codices fell to the power of the Codex, and from this Darkness, none could see hope.
But there were some, who resisted. a Last Alliance of Men and Xenos took up arms against the forces of Ward'or and on the Slopes of Mount Doom they fought for the freedom of 40k." |

While all of these things can exist in the 41st Millennium they really won't, as it contradicts the Gothic/Grimdark feel. It's a reason we see so little of what Imperial citizens do beyond work and die. Video games and electronic entertainment in general seems to be almost never mentioned.

Again you buy into GW's nonsense.
Entertainment does exist and is mentioned in the novels and rpg's like Shreev ball, Gladiator fights, circuses, children playing games, brothels, festivals etc.

i have read a reference to a portable video game called starchaser in one of the short stories in "fear the alien" book. one of the doctors uses it to distract one of the imperial guard to get him to talk about what had happened to him during a tyranid attack. so its not impossible to have some sort of console games.
