Which characters would you love to see return, either in model, fluff or with an updated model?

I really want Gorfang Rotgut, Morglum Necksnapper and Arbaal the Undefeated returning with updated models

I'd love Tsar Boris returning with the old model, same with Aekold Hellbeass

And all the above being more obvious in the fluff, Astrogoth would be awesome too from WF

Crom the conqueror, Harry the hammer and Archaon on foot.

Is tsar boris the one on the bear? If so then him too that model is awesome.

Reasons for the models, they are all cool, they have awesome fluff and who wouldnt want to use the Ever chosen being a beast in their army. The reason I say on foot is because his model is quite a bit bigger than a chaos warrior so he looks extra burly. Crom is cool and bad ass looking and Harry well with all the new undead releases someone needs to show them what terror means.

Yeah, Tsar Boris is that old Kislev guy on the bear, one of the best looking models IMO, and on eBay for no less than £80, worse than GW prices DX

I'd like to see Nagash get off his duff and come back. With a non "HEY KIDS I'M A KOOKY DEATHCLOWN" model. :p

Nagash would be interesting. However His model sucks. Why was he ever so large? Krell would be cool, Burlok DAminson with his steampunk PF.

Absolutely. But I still want him back. Make him a Storm of Magic thing, or for some scenario. Not for tournament play, but he's Nagash! Let him do his thing!

@Tiarna Fuilteach, you can still buy his model on the site I believe

Who was Burlok DAminson again?

And as for Nagash's size, in the fluff he's 15 feet tall, so it makes sense, it's really the SKULL SKULL CLOWN WEIRDO thing about the model that damages it, honestly swap the head and give it a good paintjob it'd be ok, not as Nagash, but as something

He was a masater Necromancer, but it's not like other races don't have characters who are ridiculously powerful in the fluff. Teclis, Settra, Morathi, etc. Give VC back their Master Necromancer!

Isnt he even more powerful than them tho even in the fluff? I am by no means an expert on his fluff but from what I read hes quite powerful.

If I remember right, he is about equal to Teclis in terms of magic power.

I can't remember where, but I think there's something around that says he is about level to a 2nd generation Slaan or Teclis.

It's like a LOTR situation, everyone makes out that Sauron is indestructible, incredibly powerful and beyond any of the light, but really Gandalf could have given him a good fight, and from what I've interpreted, beaten him had he not been so terrified of him, it's the same here, Nagash isn't the most powerful being in existence and is overrated, but still a badass

I wouldn't even liken him to Sauron in power. He's a pwerful sorcerer in a world where there's many powerful sorcerers. There's even a race of powerful sorcerers who can link their powers quite handily.

I would love to see Azazel return, possibly even a mortal version of him based off the Time of Legends- Sigmar books! He was so incredibly awesome and to be honest I was pretty surprised he wasn't in the Daemons of Chaos book since every other god got both a Hero and Lord Special Character, but Slaanesh didn't get a Lord choice... seems he would have been the perfect fit!

As cool as Azazel is, I think GW will give us N'kari first since his/her/it's?!? story has been shoved in our faces so much recently... (all this to do about killing some silly elf princelings or some such?!)

As for who I'd like back: Neferata for the love of feth!!!

Seriously, the VC book WITHOUT the original freakin' vampire? That's like chaos warriors without Archaon or lizzies without Lord Kroak, or god forbid, 40k without space marines!

Honestly, that would be completely awesome too! Especially if they had a model to go along with it.

While I agree in principle - she's the original vampire, still alive in the fluff, so should have a place in the book, but she's also not the fighting type. She's more of the sit around while her sisterhood does the dirty work type.

Though seeing some of the original vampires return would definitely be awesome. Having Aborash lead a Blood Dragon army would be pretty great.

Liber Chaotica wrote:Both men struck. The Templar's sword sliced through Aekold's armour, cutting deep into his ribs. But Aekold's sword took the Templar's head from his shoulders.
As the body of the white Templar fell, blood gushing from the stump of his neck, Aekold sank to his knees, his own life blood oozing through the gaps in his armour. He was dying and he knew it. Yet he had come so far and seen so much, too much to let it all end in that moment. Agonisingly slowly, Aekold began to crawl back to the portal, leaving a trail of blood behind him. Now the silver of the mirror showed no reflection, only the multicoloured flames of the Chaos Wastes coloured its surface.

Aekold touched the mirror's surface. He knew that his own death waited for him on the other side of it, yet still he had to continue. As the world seemed to spin around him, Aekold heard the sibilant voice again, only now it seemed to echo all around him.

"The Way lies beyond this portal, yet only the Chosen One may enter. Are you he?"

For one final time Aekold felt a pang of guilt - for one last time he longed for his former life. But what had he to go back to? His family and his past life was as dead to him as the headless Templar that lay behind him. Finally, Aekold pushed against the surface of the mirror-portal.
A searing pain, like lances of pure white fire, ripped through him. Aekold screamed in agony as he felt talons, hotter than hellfire, colder than the void, tearing him apart, separating flesh from bone, raking his very soul and obliterating whatever was left of his sanity. Then all sense and feeling left him.

Aekold Helbrass, the son of Graf of the Reikland, was gone.
The newly born champion of Tzeentch standing before the mirror-portal turned around to study its new form.

The pale reflection in the mirror showed a face quite unlike the young knight who left Altdorf all those months ago. Two eyes, glittering like multi-faceted gems and burning with inner balefires, stared back at it. Its sapphire and gold armour was covered in twisting runes that glowed in the flickering darkness of the Chaos wastelands. Its sword gleamed with blue light, and seemed to moan as it moved it, its shape changing with every motion.

The champion of Tzeentch began to laugh. It raised its sword South, lifting it in a challenge to humanity and all the things it had once held dear. Its laughter rose higher and then turned into a scream of hatred.

"I will return!" it screamed. "For now I know the truth!"

Change and change until Change is our master, for nothing neither God nor mortal can hold that which has no form. Change is the constant that cannot be changed.

No game of chess can be won without pawns, and this may prove to be a very long game.

I have to throw in another vote for Eltharion the Blind. Way better fluff and more in line with the current edition's play-style, and it also balances out the White Lion and Phoenix Guard captains.

Aekold Helbrass and Harry the Hammer get my votes, both ultimate badasses (I found it pretty interesting in the latest WoC book how Helbrass nearly pervades the text, appearing in fluff snippets here and there but without any rules - or an updated model - of his own. The Black Tongue, for example, is Helbrass' tongue!)
