Subject: So when did indicators become optional on cars?
So when did indicators become optional on cars? Seriously when I learnt to drive you had to indicate or you didn't pass your test. People are just inconciderate on the road recently.
Rant over have calmed down now.

Most annoying is that this one decided not to indicate to turn in to a side road I wanted to walk across so I started crossing the road and he nearly hit me. only to pull up a few yards ahead of me and lay into me for crossing the road and getting in his way. Arghhhhhh.
Maybe I should sent the wolves on him!

I noticed that, it seems Lexus, BMW and Mercedes dont have indicators.

Indicators are irrelevent.
What's important when learning to drive is how fast a car with a caravan on it can go on a single/duel carriageway.

It drives me insane with rage especially at roundabouts when some looks like they're going straight on then suddenly decide to go right with no warning what so ever so you have put on the anchors and hope the person behind you is paying attention or floor it and hope for the best. My other gripe is people who start signalling as they're turning who does that help!!! Indicators this is what i'm going to do not what i am doing.

Well, I suppose the guy driving the car was lucky he wasn't holding a camera.
When I first opened this thread I thought it might well have been from a UK poster, seeing as so many people don't bother with it over here.
All pales in comparison to Korea though, and on a trip to India it's simply the biggest car that decides which direction everyone else goes in, so maybe it's just a global thing.
In the movie Shoot 'em Up the main character runs a car into a bunch of parked ones because he doesn't signal when he lane changes. If only I could get away with that I would be pleased.

Man, road rage has me tight in it's grip. It's my biggest failing (among many, admittedly) and it's w*****s who don't signal thier intentions that are driving me clinically insane!
Among other things that make me want to bust a blood vessel are:
1: 30 mph man, TFG that drives EVERYWHERE at 30mph, regardless of the actual speed limit.
2: Mobile phone Doucheman, that tosser that sits on the middle lane of a motorway at 57.5mph talking on his phone whilst completely oblivious to other road users.
3: The frightened old lady/man, that positions the seat exactly 0.5mm away from the steering wheel and peers out over the top, not stopping for anyone or anything but thankfully moving slower than tectonic plates.
4: Anyone that drives an Audi.

The UK is friggin' weird.
People who never use turn signals are idiots.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Same here.
What I hate is the people who indicate a turn then go straight anyway... Almost been hit by a couple of those while walking. They're just as bad but put in that little extra effort.
I just passed my driving test so I've yet to get a full experience of all this I have however had a chavvy woman try to kill herself by not paying attention while crossing the road infront of me. Luckily it was during a lesson and I had just turned in so I was doing what 10mph? Course the woman mouths me off since I shook my head at her stupidity.
Though my parents seem to have forgotten how to use an indicator or mirrors when overtaking someone... sometimes they remember while most of the time they don't.
