That is a most impressive pose. So dynamic. I love the SW terminator models, probably my favorite GW models in the last 4 years and you did a superb job with this one. Awesome.

Looks amazing.

Only thing I would suggest is adding a muzzle flash from armor cast or something similar to compliment the shell casings that are flying out of the assault cannon.

I was thinking about doing the muzzle flash but decided against- I'd probably mess that up and consequently ruin the rest of the look!

Only thing I can think of to critizise is the yellow eyes are so subtle they look unpainted, but I realize that anything like glowing eyes on this would look out of place with the rest of the models style.
Cant wait to se the full squad!

The eyes are quite subtle, difficult to get a decent gak of them though! Getting the rest of the squad done will take me a while- this guy took me long enough!

Gorgeous! Only criticism I can add regards the spent casings - for a gun that fires as rapidly as the Assault Cannon, the casings appear to be calmly dribbling out of the ejection port. While gravity certainly takes effect as soon as they leave the weapon, I'd expect them to have a bit more outward kick. It's a niggling point, perhaps, but it immediately jumped out at me as unnatural and broke the suspension of disbelief markedly.

I did watch a couple of videos of miniguns before I did the casings and was surprised at how little they flew away (compared to the likes of a 249 or M60 which fly all over the joint).
While I do agree that they could be a little more 'dynamic', it was difficult to attach them in a haphazard manner without the little buggers breaking off!

Now, THAT is a mini i like! "Awesome" really fits here, I love how the empty cases come flying from the ejection port! And the water, and the weatheing, and, and, and...... really well done!!

@MrMerlin, I didn't think I should put it up in 3 sections- that would be whoring! Besides, I'd already finished him before I started the blog- putting the WIP shots up of him made me think about starting a blog.

Did I comment on this when it was a WIP? I'm sure I remember it, fantastic paint job, and love the base.

He's currently sat in the cabinet at GW Coventry alongside a bunch of other 40K miniatures for a painting competition on Saturday (in celebration of the 25 years of 40K).

I especially enjoyed the shells on the snowy base. Gives it a nice sense of realism.

This guy won me a 40k 25th Birthday pin at the painting competition today. 'Nuff chuffed!
