I missed the live showing, but plenty of people have uploaded the E3 footage onto Youtube.

Here is what I'm talking about. This footage is of the campaign, and IMO it looks amazing.

(In case you didn't know, Bungie, the original makers of the Halo franchise are no longer involved in anything Halo-related. Microsoft own Halo, and now 343 studios are officially in charge of making a new Halo trilogy starting this November with Halo 4).

I was hopeful for 343 from the start and I feel they've delivered. There is some multiplayer and Spartan Ops * gameplay shown here. Another video here.

I was a HUGE fan of Halo 3, but to me Halo: Reach was somewhat of a let down (not bad, just not good enough from what was Bungie's last Halo game) so I'm looking forward to Halo 4 and hoping it will get me hooked on the multiplayer.

So, from what you've seen at E3, has your opinion changed on Halo 4? Do you like what you see?

*Spartan Ops is a weekly-released series of missions set in the same storyline as the campaign, much like Firefight (where human team mates work together to cooperatively eliminate hostile NPCs) but now story and objective based.

Also, I have a feeling more Spartan Ops gameplay was shown last night, but due to the time difference it was aired at some hours early in the morning here, so I missed it. If anyone can find the gameplay on youtube I'd appreciate it if you post the link. Cheers!

Oppinion unchanged, gonna get it for the story. We're also getting a new novel in september so I couldn't be happier.

Spec ops is something I expect to be doing with Kan and Purp.

I think the story is definitely something I'm interested in. I would like to see how 343 continue on from the epic saga, whilst creating their own.

They damn well better have guilty spark showing up in the game. After reading the forerunner saga it's become my favourite character in the series.

After Halo Reach I was initially skeptical about a new Halo, back when this was announced, but now I have high hopes that this will reinvigorate the franchise.
I like the Halo universe and it would be a shame if wasn't further built upon and explored.
I caught a peek of the live action scenes and they look pretty good as well.

Having been a huge halo fan, and being obsessed with about everything involved with it for years now, I think that 343 could release a rather lousy game and I would still be like "OMG this rules!" but it does look quite good

The forerunner guns shown were a bit of a let down. Didnt really rate the Forerunner Battle Rifle and the Forerunner shotgun.

The enemies look cool though, I liked the Drones and Warriors and how it charged it's shield. My only Concern atm is that it seemed hard to tell when the Warrior things and drones had no shields.

I liked the guns, they seemed alien enough to suit the forerunners but still gun like...

In every Halo game (Barring maybe Halo 1) there's an enemy that was just so annoying...

Please, the Library is a good test of endurance but frankly that game had the best iteration of my favourite weapon in Halo so I was less than bothered by it all.

i have played halo 1 for probably at least 500+ hours(it was my only xbox game from 7th to 10th grade. and in all of that i bet that i have only played that level like 10 times. i hate it!

A recent switcher from console to computer l was hoping for a Pc conformation, sadly l was dissapointed.
Im still waiting for those system reqs.

Unfortunately I don't think the new Halo's will come to PC. It's owned by MS and they like to use it as a big selling point for the xbox.

No but in Halo games overall I think Cortana made pretty much every other level look silly...

This. It took me and a friend like 5 hours to beat that level on legendary.

I actually enjoy The Library, but my favorite flood level(s) are in Halo 2 on the gas platform.


Anyone know if the Flood will make an appearance in Halo 4? I bet 343 will keep it as a surprise until the game is released though lol.

I hope the pistol from Combat Evolved makes a return - I simply loved that weapon, a starter gun that was good for the duration of the game and Halo was none the worse for it.
