OK, I'm an old school gamer at heart, and I'm interested in running a Play by Post RPG here on Dakka Dakka.

It will be one of the following:

1) 1E AD&D
2) 1E Gamma World
3) 1E/2E WFRP

If there's enough interest for any one of these, I'll happily run a campaign here on Dakka Dakka.

I'm guessing posts stating "Other: Paranoia" will be deleted? I'll go with Gamma World, then.

I voted for WFRP because it sounds like the call letters to a radio station.

I don't have access to them. I'll scour the netz to see what I can come up with though.

yup... just bought mine via DriveThru... I didn't even know I had an account with them until I remembered I bought the Brushfire book from them.

I managed to buy only the WFRP 2nd book... It was a FIGHT to not buy other stuff... so many old books I used to have.

EDIT: Just took a glance at character creation... wow... so.... random. I'll have some good old fun with this.

Warhammer Fantasy Role Play

I would be interested in WFRP as well, pending more details.

I have the 2nd ed rulebook.

Long story short, we'll be running a campaign via posts here on Dakka Dakka.

You'll figure out what you want to play, roll it up, send/post the details.

I'll post parts of the story in an ongoing thread here online, you'll declare actions, and we'll go from there.

Not as much fun as a face to face game, obviously, but I can say without a doubt it is better than not playing WFRP at all!

We'll give this a few more days, than we'll close up 'registration' for the first part of the campaign!

I don't htink paranoia would work in PBP.

I thought careers and stuff were random? We can just choose what we wanna do?

If I can't even pick my own class, I'm not playing. I wouldn't want to create a character concept I want to roleplay, and then be stuck in a class that makes absolutely no sense for the character. And I certainly don't want to roll up a character concept I don't want to play.

Besides, unless the GM is rolling for me (and I don't think Alpharius is intending to do so), he won't be able to know what roll I made anyway. It's not like I'm generating stats.

For purposes of this game (and to be honest, any game of WFRP that I'd ever GM), you can absolutely pick the race and starting class for your character.

How is dice rolling going to be handled?

An honor system I imagine.

The purpose of the roleplay, I believe, is more on creating an interesting narrative and less "I ATTACK! [rolls a 21]"

Pretty much what Melissia said!

If there's really a big hue and cry for something else, we could use Invisible Castle.

Either way (Honor System or Online System) will work fine by me.
