I hope that the charsheet is helpful at any rate. I might modify it to have actual lists later, but I think that the ascii I used for it works just fine.

Looks like fun. Are we PMing character sheets to Alpharius?

That is the plan!

No need to have the character sheet in by Friday, but I'll need firm commitments by then for sure!

I have sent my character sheet. Did it get green light?

It's an Estalian Dietro.

To inform the others playing, I rolled up a human Initiate of Sigmar. I've already sent Alpharius the character, and will try to write a background to post here later.

So we have a Roadwarden from Reikland, an Estalian Diestro, and an Initiate of Sigmar.

Sounds like fun waiting to happen.

I was going over the magic rules a bit and reading up on Tzeentch's Curse, and thinking that it wasn't to much to worry about I just grabbed four d10's and rolled 5,5,6,6, or two sets of doubles!

I rolled on the table to see what would happen and I lost 1 wound and 1 point of Magic for 8 minutes. I was 1 point away from getting "Whimsy" aka 'whatever the GM wants to do'.

Are we using optional encumbrance rules, and are we using advanced armor or basic armor rules?

I sent my character to Alpharius, a human zealot, along with some admittedly cliched background. I'll be working to improve that bit.

I hope we're using basic armor for my character, otherwise she'll have drastically reduced armor protection hehe.

But I included stats for both.

I'll work on some basic background for my chracter in a bit.

It's all right for you, Melissia. Your character only has 16 years of background to come up with. Mine has 100

Actually that kind of makes it harder for me to come up with a reason why she's a Roadwarden.

Don't get me wrong, cliched isn't bad or anything, I just think I might go with a less troubled past.

I think I'll go with a basic background for my Diestro. He went to the Empire in search of stronger opponents, finer wine and more beautiful ladies.

Halfling. Goblins aren't playable characters because they're mostly kill on sight for the empire.

Its a real shame I'm a little short of time and the rule set, as this looks like it might be one hell of a game.

Would have brought in a Dwarf of some kind, but instead I will have to watch from the sidelines.

The background I've come up with thus far:

Spoiler:
Born on a farm to a farmer mother and woodcutter father, November Foerster distinguished herself amongst her four older brothers through her surprisingly steady aim and good perception at an archery contest during a summer feast.

A passing noble saw her performance, and, impressed, offered to have her be sponsored as a member of the local Roadwardens. The pistol and armor were both fairly cheap to him, and it made him look good amongst the populace-- and, who knows, maybe she'll be competent, too? That'd be a plus, it'd be good for business after all.

She has spent most of her time since then patrolling in a squad of other roadwardens, and only recently has she had her first solo assignment. This being the first time she's gone solo, November is eager to prove herself and impress her sergeant.

Yeah, kind of short, but it doesn't really need to be longer

Ahh.... I'll stick with Haflings unless Gnomes are allowed.

Back Ground:
Spoiler:

Gnomes are known for their interest in Alchemy, but this one is different as she have interesting in culinary art!.
From Gnomish alchemy ingenuity she can create dishes that boosts stats, recover health/mana, and is delicious to boot.
Also carrying a bottle of Mystery Liquid ZX2, one drop can turn a bowl of food into the most vomit inducing vile stanched bio weapon,
where it is rumored to be as deadly as Skaven's Poison Globes.

Tired of seeing Gnomish product been bought off by highest bidding villains, the Gnome set out into the front line, more or less, hoping to
make a difference, or conjure up new recipes!

As much as I love Gnomes in 1E AD&D (Illusionists!), there are no Gnomes in the WFRP book.

I'm not even sure that they officially exist in the Warhammer world?

Anyway... this is it!

I think we're all set here - anyone that has posted in here and expressed interest... you're in!

There is no 'cook' career. There is Peasant or Monk that could be flavored to like cooking, or possibly Apothecary, which I believe is a basic career. The Career Compendium has the most comprehensive list of Careers (or classes if you like). I think it might only be missing the Tome of Corruption chaos careers, though I don't think this is an evil campaign so I doubt we could take those anyway. XD

Camp Follower could also work (a traveling cook that sells his or her skills to armies), as could, as could a Servant (or possibly a Burgher if you'd prefer to own a restaurant), although none will start with the tools of the trade-- you'll have to purchase them with starting GP. Tradesman could definitely work, starting with any two trade skills and tools for them. Peasant could work as well, as they start with trade cook, but again, don't start with the tools of the trade.

So your best bet is probably Tradesman, with some secondary choices of Camp Follower, Peasant, and Servant, and a tertiary choice of Burgher or Valet.
