Regarding Macragge, while it's a terrible movie, the Ultramarines movie obviously mentions it a few times. The only licensed product where you hear it said, to my knowledge.

They simply say mac-crag.

This is how I've always pronounced them:

Neh-cron-TEER (as in the 'tier' of a tournament)

Mah-CRAG (with a slight roll on the 'r')

Err-oh-NAW-tee-cah (Exactly as the English 'Aeronautical')

Tzeentch - Make a 'Tsss' sound as if you're indicating something is hot, then 'een' (as in 'bean'), followed by 'ch' (as in 'cheese') - I believe it is a single syllable. (Keep in mind it's designed to be ungainly and unpleasant to say. In the 40k world just saying the name can give people nosebleeds.)

Grim-LA-dus (as in 'dust') the Re-CLU-see-ark

Others I've seen pronounced incorrectly are:

C'Tan - supposedly pronounced 'suh-TAN'

Ciaphus - KAI-ah-fus

Kaldor Draigo - 'CHEE-see BAS-turd'

Here's one that confuses me: people always pronounce Slaanesh as Sla-NESH with the emphasis on the nesh (sorry not good at indicating pronunciation... stuff) when there are two a's, meaning it should be more like Slaaaaaaanesh.

Yeah, Tzeentch has a hard consonant at the beginning. Think of it the way you say a double-z in Italian (think of how you pronounce "pizza"), or like the the second consonant in the name Mozart.

We can thank Greek for this mess, as the original Greek Z had a hardness to the consonant that wound up rolling and bouncing strangely through the various languages that are ultimately derived from it.

Of course, if you're looking for the proper annunciation, you need to have an angel speak to you.

I'd probably agree with you, seeing as they're clearly inspired, at least in part, by the Cthulhu mythos.

Neck-ron-tier
Mah-cragg.
As it's spelled.
T'Zeen-ch. (Listen to the pronunciation of zehn in German, it's the same sound at the start.)
That's misspelled, it's "Grimaldus" which is just as it's spelled.

And C'tan has a hard "C", it's a reference to Lovecraft.

Yeah, there's a professor of classics who comes to my FLGS and he says it's based on an ancient greek thing (TBH I wasn't paying masses of attention), but he says it's a hard C.

Using latin we'd get K'tan or Ch'tan, depending on what kind of latin you're using.

I'm curious how people pronounce the 'Ymgarl' in Ymgarl Genestealers? I pronounce it UM-garl, as in Welsh 'y's in the penultimate syllable are typically pronounced with an 'uh' sound, but I've also heard people say IM-garl or IM-arl with a silent g.

As for Ymargl, yeah, I'm pretty sure that's Norse, Use the Y like a German J. Somewhat like the way you pronounce the letter U when speaking the aphabet, but with an I inflection.
