PLEASE READ BEFORE VOTING:
As the topic asks, for those of you who do play Sisters of Battle, what is your gender?
The reason I'm curious about this is that just about the only other SoB player that I've seen in real life has been a female and I have heard that, as a (near entirely) female army that this army more than any other appeals to female wargamers. I am trying to see just how accurate that presumption is, at least amongst the community here at Dakka.
For the sake of this poll, if you currently do not play SoB, yet want to do so (either as a main army or now as allies), or played SoB in the past, please cast your vote as well.
I'll start it off. I have been playing Sisters of Battle for almost 3 years now and I am a male.

I figured that there might be much of that, which I'm fine with. I'm also not here to force people into gender roles, so I included that. If one decides to vote 'Other' just to see the results, that's fine, but I'd like it if you posted just so that it is clear that is the case. Just in case we actually do have some transgender/other SoB players out there and they don't want/have to reveal themselves as such.

add a "i just want to see the result here" option, or is there a way to look at the results without voting, in which case ,

Played them back in the '90's, took a 10 year break from the game, coming back in with Eldar and Tau.
Sold them because I'm tired of playing and painting power armor.
Kinda ironic, now I'm painting more sisters and Space Wolves for the local players.
They're still in my house, as the guy I sold them to is a regular player, so I play against them weekly now.

I would play them if they were plastics and cheaper than they are metal. I really love the theme of the army and look of the models.

In the groups I've played with I can remember about 4 girls who have floated through here and there. 3 of them played sisters, one Eldar so what could be inferred from this is very few females play, and are very likely to play the armies that actually feature female models.

Since most people who play are male I think it is logical to assume that most people who play sisters are male. We would need another side by side poll just to see how many females play. If 10% of 40k players are female and 30% of Sisters players are female you are onto something, but if 10% of sisters players are femle than again you have found something out.

I'm male, and I've been playing Sisters of Battle for a few to several years now. I would have started playing them years earlier, but a box of most basic troops was about 35 dollars then, and a box of 10 Sisters was 50 dollars. Once the price for a Tactical Squad got to be 40 dollars or so, the cost of Sisters got a lot more palatable, and they're now my main army. Definitely looking forward to plastics.

Hell yeah I would totally play Sisters of Battle! If I had a choice between staring at burly Marine dudes or chicks in tight fitting Power Armor for the length of an entire game and sitting on a shelf what do you think I'd take? In the mean time I just say my Tau are a equal opportunity army. But man, the Sisters story and background and general fluff....*creepy chills* Yikes bro!

Im a male and I would play SoB army if/when they get new plastic releases. For me it's not so much they're all-female, but that they're a zealous and fanatic militia who like to burn heretics for the Emperor. That kind of OTT nonsense can only lead to fun times.
