I have to admit, the fact that they are female are at least part of the reason I liked them when they first came out. it let me get part of my Space marine fix without being a member of the "Everybody plays loyalist Space marines" club, where every battle starts to look like a Chapter vs. Chapter training exercise.

But I only like them as an order of warrior nuns.. As I've said before, I don't like the Sisters Repentia, and I have always seen the Penitent Engine and the Arco-Flagellants as crazy zealotry being brought to battle by the Ordo Hereticus, not the Chambers Militant.

I only like the different versions of actual power-armored Sisters, which is why a squad of Eviscerator-Seraphim would be sweet. Also, an Exorcist that looks less like a pipe organ. ( I made my missile launcher out of the Land Speeder typhoon missile system to look like a mini-whirlwind.)

I'm only bummed as playing my Sisters currently would require me to buy at least one new Seraphim sister superior, as I'm pretty sure they can;t use Fleur de Lys-emblazoned Powerfists anymore, like the one I have converted.

Evil Lamp 6 wrote:As I sort of explained in my first post, I've heard throughout the years I've been playing 40k, that a majority of SoB players are female. Having only met one other SoB player IRL and she was female, I had no real data one way or the other (I didn't play SoB at that time, making her the only other SoB player that I have known of).

It's not that woman are the majority or they are more likely to play a SoB army, it's that we think the SoB are an army designed to appeal to women because no male would want to play an army composed entirely of women and that the only way women would be able to enjoy 40k is to create an army specifically targeted at them.

See Legend of Korra and studio execs worried about a show with a female lead not appealing to boys.

I (male) would definately play sisters if their miniatures weren't so terribly outdated and ugly ( with the notable exception of Celestine ).
I mean, the faces...argh...they look like trannies :(

Not every sculpter is Werner Klocke.

Not every warrior is a super model.

Only because we aren't in Heaven.

For as old as the SoB models are, they are perfectly fine, detail-wise.

My face is like then like then like then it's all and some times I give y'all but by the end it's boiled down to .....you guys.....youuuu.....hoo boy.

Love the BDSM Nuns gag, laughed hysterically for a minute there. I would love to sit down and build a fully customed out SoB (which is really weird to read by the way, you sons of bunnies.) army of all these real mystic looking coweled sisters doing kung fu stuff, or striking anime poses, or stuff. Things that only remind you of sisters.

But man this is the Imperium! Tactics? Bahhh! We are Legion! For we are many! We don't need no stinking tactics! For pete's sake we're fighting Orks here! Seriously though. The whole point of sisters is to be fanatical. To inspire zeal in fellow imperialists. They are a terror weapon. No more talking about their tactics guys. The minds of us heretics cannot grasp their misplaced love for the Emperor.

BURN THE UNCLEAN! AUUUGH! NOT ME! I SHOWERED!
