Good point! I'm gonna bulk most of his body up with green-stuff so i think his cavetroll-ness will be covered up really good once it's finished.

It's a good idea, I love the idea of ginormous Ork/Orc bosses, but you're gonna need to have some hardcore sculpting skills to make a good looking head. If you have the sculpting skills, good luck and I can't wait to see the results. If you don't, good luck and I think you should have a shot at sculpting some heads before you go too far with the project.

Yeah, the head is going to be tricky.
I don't have hardcore skillz with greenstuff, but the body is turning out great so far, posting picture soon, working on his neck atm.

I'm not quite happy with how his 6-pack turned out, but it's going to be mostly covered up by a big teef-belt, so it's coooooool
Still a lot of work to do on his chest, but i ran out of greenstuff





New update tomorrow or the day after. (As soon as i get more greenstuff )

I have not been able to get more greenstuff yet, but it's on it's way.

I've been away from everything that revolves around warhammer, sculpting, painting and whatnot for over a year.
I recently got into bodybuilding, and got inspired to continue on my green steroid filled mushroom man.

I did this a while ago, although with much less green stuff, mine was more of a kitbash. Yours looks very good so far, excellent green stuff work, I can tell it'll be amazing!

If you do fancy some inspiration, here's a photo. I've spoilered it so as not to hijack your thread.

Daaaamn, that's one bulky Orc, I really like the big robotic-looking hand, where is it from?

And the base, looks VERY good!

The hand is from the Venerable Dreadnought, with the plate from the front of dreadnought (I guess the sarcophagus thing that the person is in) on the wrist to make it look beefier. The base is from my local independent stockist, I don't know the company, however.

I haven't had time to work on the Orc because of work and bodybuilding, but I've managed sit down for a few minutes to make a choppa for the Big Boss.



I found an old skeleton toy in one of my drawers, so I chopped it off with my handy pocketknife and used it as the grip

Hey dakkamakka! loving the work so far!The choppa looks particularly orky and brutal. In terms of sculpting, you don't seem to need much advice, you have the muscle groups down pretty well and in general the shapes do look awesome.

Only pointers would be;
Get some milliput. Mix it with the GS, milliput is more brittle, but sandable, combined you get a lovely mix of a material that still remains flexible, but is sandable and you can use files on it (something GS by itself has an issue with).
Maybe add more sinew and muscle definition; here's some grotesques I am working, on, now bearing in mind I am going massively overboard with muscle, but I think you'll get the idea. I think your ork boss could do with having some seriously ripped and bulking out muscles, with veins and such. The body is made of so many muscles and little bits of tendon, show it off! Plus having seen the detail you've managed to achieve on the initial face sculpt I know that you can achieve it.

GW store? Highly unlikely. FLGS? Possibly. Quick google turns up a swedish webshop that sells it for 45Kr, which is a good price. One extra advantage is that good price helps expensive GS go further. Especially if it's GW GS.
Looks like they stock Tamiya smooth surface putty too, which is a good alternative to green stuff or procreate. (Just might need a little colouring to make out details against the bright white) And also a pretty freakin' good price for 100g of the stuff, even disregarding the usual prices for 20g of GW greenstuff. You cant even get the 25g pack of smooth surface for that price, here in the UK. I wonder what the shipping is like...

Yeh don't buy your modelling stuff from GW, I get my GS off ebay for like £10 and I get something stupid like a meter for that price

Milliput is also reasonable on ebay/amazon.

Started on his neck today, going to bulk it up later when it has firmed up. I also repositioned his left arm a bit.
I might have to make a new head for him, It seems to be too big for his body

I have this little piece here that's gonna go on one of his legs.
Is there a "right" way for it to be positioned? I don't want to ruin it by gluing it upside down

As for head size, I wouldn't worry too much, give him a nice sized gob and he'll look awesome. Orks have such varying sized bodies and such. Maybe he just liked to 'eadbutt, or bellows a huge waaaagh! keep going imo

Decided to go with the old deff dread/killa kan-looking legs for the boss. Here is part of one leg.
I found a website where they sell separate parts for Ork vehicles for example. Anyone familiar with this site? I might just buy the legs from there if the ones I make doesn't turn out well enough.

I've done yard work all day for the folks so I've not done any more progress on the head
I had an arm from a canceled Killa Kan conversion in my bit box, so I decided to cut off his right arm and give him a robot arm instead. I need to get myself some plasticard rods so i can connect the arm to his body.
He is gonna have two claws on the top and one on the bottom of the arm. I will add greenstuff in the creases so it looks like the metal is welded together, and small bits of plasticard here and there so it also looks bolted together.

Upgraded from a Swiss army knife toothpick to a real sculpting tool and I must admit, using proper tools for sculpting makes thing much easier and cooler!

As for your dude, the muscle is looking fantastic, I love how the veins turned out, hows the robotic arm coming along?

The arm is coming along pretty good. There's much more details done on the side that's against the keyboard.
I bought myself a punch plier so I can make nice round rivets to glue on here and there
