Power Sword. Nothing else has that elegant "knightly" vibe. Axes and maces just seem so crude, fists are clumsy, and claws are for animals.

Halberd, it just looks fantastic, closely followed by the sword.

Gosh, you can't ask me to pick just one...

Alright, top three in no particular order.

-Power Sword for it's appearance (in particular, the GK two-handed ones, but I have seen one-handers that I like just as well, like the Eldar Banshee ones)
-Power Maul, because I love some good smashy smashy
-Power Fist, especially while dual-wielding them, because deadly hugs are the best hugs when my owner is being quiet on MSN.

Well, that list escalated quickly.

Since when are Eviscerators power swords? Likewise, I would've simply lumped 2/3 of the list's contents into a greater overarching category and then have people specify if they favour a specific item in it ... but that's just because I like shorter polls, as they tend to give more interesting "races".

If I have to specify a particular favourite power sword, I will say the Blessed Weapon, stolen from the Battle Sisters by the authors of the new WD minidex. The best thing about it is that it was "special", yet you could still customise it with personal fluff and designs, as it was just a very rare subgroup of power swords.

I like my force weapons of the axe variety(I use necron warsythes for modeling bits)

I like my regular power weapons as lightning claws

I like thunderhammers as my striking last double strength weapon, although PK also look cool. Totally about look.

Um... Chainfists aren't power swords either. They're power fists with extra capabilities against armored vehicles.

Hel they do, they have additional rules lightning claws dont, they are a superior option to lightning claws.

Currently for me is actually the Power Lance/Spear. I don’t know exactly why, but it has become my favorite, not my go to, but my favorite. I think my main reason was because everyone immediately looked at it and went “It looks useless.” My responses to things like that are to immediately give it a try and see if it is. So I gave one to my Blood Angels Blood Champion and one to one of my Thunderlords using leftover Grey Knight Halberds.

The Blood Angels Honor Guard Blood Champion: Well for one it looks cool. Then I got to use it a few times. First was against Orks, here the opening S5 Attacks did me well on the Challenge [wounding on a 3+] vs. the Ork Was bosses turned out to be vicious, the only weapon that works better are Power Mauls. They have been very useful vs. Marines, that opening AP3 S5 Attacks have made him a real Sergeant Killer.

Thunderlord: I gave my Wolf Lord Hammond a Power Lance and a Frost Axe. I know it’s a lot of points, but my waist has been with the Power Axe. The opening 7 S6 AP3 I5 attacks have been brutal vs. almost everything. I have killed of Tanks, Dreadnaughts, and even Hive Tyrants on the opening Charge with him. It has gotten to the point that I have thought of dropping the Power Axe for just a normal Chain Sword.

Now with both of them I have some basic “Rules of Engagement”:
1. Don’t Assault Terminators or other 2+ Save Units
2. Always carry Melta-Bombs, just in case.
3. Always have a second Character with AP3 or AP2 Weapons, just incase.

I am thinking of making me a “Vanguard” Force with a “300” Theme. All with jump Packs, Power Spears and Storm Shields because of how the Power Lance/Spear has been working for me. I am hoping that I can also take the Power Lance/Spear with the Dark Angels Deathwing Knights just for the Ascetic Value alone.
