I have finished the new riptide model and have also modified the shield. I thought the shield was too small so I extended it with some plasticard. I wanted to give the model a dynamic, but heavy feeling; so I figured, being so large, it would spend more time on the ground than its smaller cousins. This lead to leaning it forward like it was sprinting. The base is supposed to be some sort of slum a waste site.

Tell me what you think.

The base is great. But man that is one slick color scheme, the stance is nice as well like he is charging.

I see a ton of District 9 influence here. Nice job with that! The color scheme is nothing short of amazing.

Excellent. Looks very sporty. Orange is a really hard color to pull off, and you did it very well.

It is real easy to use too much of bright colors. It could use just a little less red/orange, and more neutral colors for contrast. That being said, looks pretty darn good!

Wow. Sexy!

The pose is doing a lot for the model, but his back ankle looks like it's gonna snap...

Complete opposite of what I usually go for when choosing a pallete... But it works. Tau models do allow this and you pulled it off incredibly well from a technical point too. Nice one!

I'm not generally a fan of the tau, but this model looks great. The pose is just plain... im-pose-ing, and the paintjob is top notch. With the white and red/orange, he reminds me a bit of Ratchett from Transformers Prime. I can just see an entire regiment of guard breaking and running at the sight of this beast charging at them! Hell, even my necrons would have to press down on a twinge of fear if they see this monster.
