For me, I actually just want to pick up a number of 40k novels. I've played for quite some time now but never picked up any to read. Also I was thinking of getting some paints and touchin up on my models

On a side note, Does anyone have a goos suggestion as to where to start?

As far as novels go, I would highly recommend the Horus Heresy series. Start with Horus Rising.

No 40K stuff but I have a few hobby bits and pieces. Some MIG washes, some new colour shapers and some flow improver.

Might also see if I get any birthday money and buy a unit of Raging Heroes Daemonettes.

One of my hobby shops is doing an x-mas list discount thing where I turn in a list and anyone else that gets something from that list gets 10% off the purchase (the person that they are buying for cannot be in the store with them at the time). It doesn't have to be GW product.

On my list: 2 boxes of Plaguebearers, 2 boxes of Horrors, 1 box of Plague Drones, 2 Bloodthrones.

You can get crackle glaze from other companies than GW for less - then just paint it the appropriate colour.

I'm not gonna ask anyone for anything hobby related. Partially because I feel uncomfortable receiving Christmas gifts in general, but mostly because people would just end up getting the wrong things anyway.

I might buy myself a Citadel army case for the holidays. Christmas is, after all, a time when spending is easy to justify.

Well, since this is my first Christmas as a single man since I was 16, I'm using the money I'd normally spend on a woman on a squad of Vanguard veterans and a weekend trip away somewhere alone.

Only get the Daemons battleforce if you can find the old one that comes with; 20 Bloodletters, 10 Horrors, 10 Daemonettes, 5 Seekers.
The new one is pretty trash as it gives you too much random and only in minimal amounts. (plus it has Nurglings - yuck!)

Next on my GW acquisition list is:

Land Speeder Storm
Vindicator
Storm Raven

There are a few filling out squads things I want, but they are low priority. I could use a box of shotgun/CC scouts, another 3 scout bikers. Another Pred would be nice. I'm still on the fence on the new AA tank, but it looks cool, so I'd take one. More rhino chassis vehicles in general.

The two new rules expansion books are also something I wound't mind having, but probably won't spend money on myself. I don't own any super heavies, and prefer troops over fortifications. But knowing the rules in case I have the opportunity to play in a game using them is a good thing.

This is the new megamat by front line gaming.

This is truly awesome, and I am excited about having one.
Basically its a mat (like a large mousepad) that you can put over your table and then throw terrain on.

My parents agreed to go 50% with me on a Barracuda and the book with the rules in it! I'll finally have one of those beautiful winged angels.

And I'm finally buying a army transport, (Battlefoam Pack Go!). I'm sick of carrying my armies around in tupperware containers. I've broken so many models over the years...now I'm actually getting serious about modeling and painting I won't have that happening anymore...

If I only could have back all the cash I've wasted on broken or badly put together models from my childhood... (*sobbs slightly*)
