As Part of the Girls Und Panzer thread [on the Lead Adventures Forums] we are looking at sourcing some 15mm Japanese school girl miniatures that can be used as bailed out crew and tank commanders.
Eureka Miniatures has had the following added to their 300club.
All you need to do is put in the amount you want no payment will be made until it is funded. The miniatures will cost around $0.80AUD each.
depending on how many are pre-ordered will influence how many variants are made.
at present there would be 4 different girls with maybe a second set being made if funds allowed.
Currently we have almost 300 pre-ordered but need to hit 600 in total before it gets made.
If we had 35 guys each pre-order 10 each we would exceed the amount we need and the minis would then be made.
The cool thing is you could use these minis for any sci-fi or mech type game.
as far as I know they will be anime themed.
please if your keen to get some add your order now as this project will most likely be cancelled at the end of February if the 600 units is not hit.
if you do pre-order some can you post in here so we can keep it up to date. no need to know how many just that you have supported it would be great.

Having school girl crew members could push me to do the historical gaming. (Even though I already want to anyway.)

I've just emailed Nic from Eureka to see if there are any Concept drawings or images for them.
As far as I was a where the details around how they look would be decided upon once 600 pre-orders were made.
But I will await Nic's reply and then see how it goes from there. For me I've ordered 40 minis but might increase that as my tank collection will be growing. I currently have 39+ Tanks with more on the way.
All for the Girls und Panzer game we are designing on the LAF site. my German team so far has [2] Panzer IV's, [2] Tiger I's, [1] Elefant, [4] Panthers, [1] Jagdtiger.
I still need 2x Tiper II, Panzer VIII Maus,
The game will be like FoW [Stats, Tank Aces] with X-Wing [Initiative, Damage Cards] , and Bloodbowl [campaign module and Skills]
The game will need to have Japanese school girls as the tank crew. I'll use some as tank commanders the rest will be bailed out markers for each tank,

My apologies, we never make concept art for the Clubs, unless someone supplies it.
If the project gets up and made we would be looking at four figures, two to fit in hatches (ne full figure, one half figure), one to sit outside on the tank, and probably one running, to escape a burning vehicle.
If we get enough money to make more figures, we would increase those numbers.
Of course I would make those suggestions once the project hit target and if we received feedback saying that other poses were preferred or these were unsuitable, we would change the designs before we made them.
All the above is predicated on getting the numbers, and this is looking increasingly unlikely as time goes by.

I don't to spoil your dream but Japanese School Girl Tank Crews are not part of historical gaming.
I'm not against Japanese School Girl Tank Crews though I would prefer them in 20mm for use with 1/72 scale models.

This is amazing, I recently started FoW and am painting and decal-ing my tanks in GuP colors and livery lol do you think it would be hard to modify them into Strike Witches as well? I'm about to take a look at the link in the OP.

Latest update is that we are just over two thirds of the way to the 600 unit order requiremnt .
Around 200 more and it will be made. Then we need input to how the minis will look like and what poses we want.
Everyone who pre-orders will get a say.
