Love to hear thoughts on what you feel should be in your codex but for some reason it’s just not there. Whether it be a piece of wargear upgrade, weapon, vehicle, what have you as long as it’s something that pretty much established in Warhammer 40k fluff that your army should have access to.
EX.
In Codex: Inquisition, you don’t have access to Inquisitorial Stormtroopers. Sure you can upgrade a guy to get a hot-shot lasgun and carapace armour but still only BS3 instead of BS4 like true Stormtroopers. Even on the GW site in their fluff for the models they have them states they are used by the inquisition, http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod1580022 as well as pictures of them in the digital codex saying how the model can be used for upgraded acolytes, so why not just have them in the book as a unit as a troop then?

I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

Tau: expanded Kroot abilities and units
SM: Blood Angels, time they where rolled into the big dex too
CSM: one page on legion abilities, so frustrating
Nids: drop spores, more biomorphs, hive fleet rules
DA: a flyer and fallen rules
Daemons: a point of toughness for everything Khorne
Eldar: nothing, they probably got too much
BRB: assaulting from reserve or from combat speed disembarks, old furious charge
I think that's everything 6th, my apologies to whatever dex I forgot.

SM: BA and DA. Just give them each their own Chapter Tactics and special characters and units (Baal Pred and DC). Then adda rule to their named heroes that allows for Termies/ Bikes/ Assault marines to be taken as troops. Job done. All the SM in one codex (except SW, which are different enough to make it difficult to do the same to them).
Orks: Skarboyz and Squig packs.
IG: HW platoons for HS. 3-5 squads of HWTs for one HS slot, or something along those lines).

Interesting topic!
For my CSM:
Options for assault vehicles other than the bog standard, non-markable LR
Legion Rules
For my Tau:
Really pretty happy here. I'd like for there to be a better reason to take Vespids but other than that I'm pretty good there.
For my DA:
Better AA options. Something like a Skyfire Whirl Wind for example
I can't remember - do we have the LS storm? If not then we need it because it fits well with the RW theme
Cheaper terminators
Better reasons to take Interrogator Chappy's
For my Crons:
Honestly pretty happy here too.
For my orks:
Foot of Mork psychic power from 2nd ed please
For my Regular Marines:
Pretty happy but I'd like better variation between the generic HQ slots so that there are good arguments to take any of them
For my BA:
I feel like I have everything I need - it's just too expensive
|
Edit: I just googled ablutions and apparently it does not including dropping a duece. I should have looked it up early sorry for any confusion. - Baldsmug

And you'd go down to the D&D shop, with an onion in your belt, 'cause that was the style of the time. So there I was in the D&D shop..." |

CSM:
- Legions Tactics ( The servants of the Corpse-God got Chapter Tactics for sake! )
- Dreadclaws/Drop Pods ( An option other than bum rushing over the killzone would really be appreciated... )
- Teleport Homer/Icon to help with DS attacks. ( We had these in the previous incarnation of the Codex. )
Grey Knights/Inquisition:
- Option for Inquisitors to get an Invulnerable Save. ( Even the lowly IG Regimental Commanders get ++ saves as default.
Only Ordo Malleus can get a lousy 5++ by taking TDA. )
IG:
- An actual air defense unit. ( The Hydra with S7 guns without Interceptor is...inadequate for its designated role. )

I'm not sure it's strictly in the fluff, but it's always bothered me that IG don't have a Heavy Tank. Hellhounds et al are light tanks, Russes are medium/main battle tanks, and Baneblades ect are Super-heavy. I know we have the Malcador and Macharius from FW, but I do think there's room for an in-codex tank larger than a Russ. I've nothing against Forge World at all, but it's really a gap that shouldn't need to be plugged by them.
