Can someone PLEASE help me convince my buddy that draigo and ONE paladin with nemiwardingsave cant kill a screamerstar. (he thinks it can)
Like this is simple
Buttt he doesnt get it.
PLEASE anyone this is hurting my head.

the odds of a single wound getting through.
1 wound, failed 1/6 times with it being saved 1/3 times.
about a 0.055% chance to get through.
2++ with reroll
1 wound, failed 1/6 of the time with it being rerolled and saved 5/6 of the time.
0.027% chance to get through. Basically half the chance to be wounded as the 2+ with FNP.
How is this hard to understand?

Cause if you make the 2++ you have to re-roll and if you fail that time you don't get to re-roll it again cause only one re-roll is allowed.

Vassal is a simulation program, there is a 40k module for Vassal that allows you to play the 40k tabletop game online. It has sprites for pretty much all the miniatures, and everything you need to play, terrain, dice, etc.
Our best friend Google knows a lot about it.

@ tyran, dont confuse him further. He dosent understand the basic concepts of the game such as you are not obligated to reroll a successful save by virtue of having the option. In fact I dont think you have option in this case as it says reroll failed saves.

Ok...well screamer star is mostly a shooting deathstar - aside from that it will still kick Draigo in the teeth, even with an apoth.
You are going to be re-rolling hits, have a 2++ re-rollable, are ap 2...O and can challenge draigo, having him swing on 1 herald, and then focus down the apoth. No offense but your friend seems pretty simple.

I threw 2000 points of Nob Bikers entirely at a screamer star to see what would happen. I killed one screamer and wounded another, and everything died.
He did pass grimoir every time though, one fail and he'd be mincemeat. bs game overall
