Not sure how many others have ben waiting for GW to restock, like myself.
Went to check a few minutes ago and they'd been moved to "no longer available" status.
So, new model coming, or cancelling it so he won't be in the next Codex?
Thoughts on this?

I doubt he'll be cancelled but I do wonder if he's being bumped to Finecast or if we're getting a plastic kit for him in the future. I'm a bit disappointed at the moment about this though as I actually wanted one of him for my army.

Looks like more of my money going to a second hand market instead of GW. Congrats GW, you've managed to actually force me to not give you money. Again.

I was also wanting to grab one. I'm scratch building one too out of spare IG / GK parts.

I'm building a Vostroyan army, so there isn't a lot of "spare parts" going around for me.

And honestly I wanted -that- model. Call it pettiness but if that's the one they're going to put in their painting guide one how to paint a psyker the least they could do is keep selling the model.

Are we certain this isn't another case of "let's make it not available while we replenish stocks"?

Can one be certain of anything with GW?

I'm really hoping it's because there's a new model coming out soonish.

I thought it was fairly well-known at this point that metal models are all effectively a "get it while stocks last" proposition

On a more serious note, a whole bunch of stuff at my local GW is currently piled up on one of the game tables to get sent back tomorrow if it doesn't sell first. Some Wood Elf stuff, some Dwarf stuff, some Empire stuff, some Hobbit stuff, some Imperial Guard stuff, some Space Marine stuff, some Chaos stuff...basically it looks like a ton of stuff that is going to be reboxed.

They need to finecast it, such an awesome model

But it isn't listed as Out of Stock. It's listed as no longer available.

Well, it's not that drastic! I just find it odd that they made the option to use him a little more tempting, but then pull the only model of him?
Then I remember the company that made him, and suddenly it was clearer......

Look, clearly this thread's creation has wronged you, and it wasn't my intent at all. I didn't see the other thread, no posts there since 4/10.
I have no problem with the Mods closing this one down and we can discuss this over there. Since it's still open, I've continued to comment and reply.
Please don't take this threads creation as a slight in any way. Being an IG player I thought it was relevant news, especially since I figured I wasn't the
only one trying to hunt one down.

On a possible related note, I had a message exchange with the store owner I order through a couple of weeks ago. He couldn't say what(didn't know),
but said there were a couple of more releases coming for the new AM/IG. Maybe they'll be rereleasing him?

Kroot is just taking this way too personally. It's been nearly two weeks since anyone posted in his thread so that's long enough for it to be considered dead in my book.

And if they do rerelease him I'd be okay with that. It'll be a couple of weeks before that happens though I'm sure.

1.) After three years of phasing out metal miniatures, it is hardly newsworthy, if a metal miniature is phased out.
2.) Starting a new thread for each and every single metal miniature, that disappears somewhere in the world, is just spamming the N&R forum. Esp. as we had more than 5 threads on the Bretonnian trebuchet alone.
3.) If anyone still finds the phasing out of a specific metal miniature newsworthy (which I don't), there is an appropriate thread for all this spam which I linked to.
4.) BTW with the new website, Space Marines lost about 22 HQ products alone.

Since the search function is broken at the moment (Lego is working on it) infrequent visitors are unlikely to find the appropriate thread to post the 'X is missing' news they've come specially to give us
