I just got done building the Battleforce for Dark Eldar and it re-ignited my love for building! The Raider, in particular, was so fun to build! Lots of moveable parts like the gangplank ( ) and the amount of customisation made it possibly the fun build I have ever done!
What models did you guys like building, and are there any other Dark Eldar models that are just as fun?

I loathe building pretty much anything. Mold lines haunt my dreams.

I think painting Be'lakor and my DoomBull were my favourites

Fave builds for me have to be my Leman Russes, all five of them. One was a really badly handled passed-around-a-dozen-times model, and even that was fun to fix up.

Painting-wise, I'd say the average guardsman.
Three or four colours per man, get 'em done quickly and easily, then line them up and look at the mass of TT standard bodies.

As a side note, my MT scions squad was a hell for me. Never buying them again.

If I can convert it, change things up or freely create with it, I love to build it. Most GW kits suck for this, as many are now mono pose (but in parts...?) or HAVE to be built in a particular way. Or even worse, MT scions plasma arms... Kits need to be somewhat generic so they dont look the same.

I hate painting. I try hard to paint when I have the time, but usually I just assemble then pay other to paint. One day I hope this changes.

The Tau battleforce. The battlesuits make me feel like I'm an Aun'o, though I'm only a Shas'el. However, the tyranid swarm was so frustrating! 80 gaunts to paint and assemble, though I loved the carnifex, and the Gargoyles were only half-bad.

I enjoyed modeling and painting Tau Battlesuits. Easy to paint well and loads of cool ways to pose them. I also really enjoyed painting my Wave Serpent. Something about the smooth and clean lines makes it a pleasure for me.

My favorite thing to build was the stormfang. No, it doesn't have tons of options for where to put stuff, but it was an effortless build without any weird gaps or seams when it was done. I thought it was ugly as sin but as I watched it come together it started to grow on me. The more I look at it, the more I think it looks badass. Basically a flying cannon that can double as a battering ram.

My favorite thing to paint was my wolf guard terminators. They have lots of cool extra bits to add and tons of weapon options. They can also have some good looking poses. Every one is unique.

I remember putting together terminators for the first time, and how fun it was.
It is what led to my decision to focus on the 1st company of the Dark Angels.

I really enjoyed converting my heldrake, but my favourite was my screamers, they were fun to build, but they were also very enjoyable to paint, and I hate painting.

Very much looking forward to building my burning chariot of tzeentch when I get back home on R&R,it looks like heaps of fun to build (but a pain to transport).

I really enjoyed pretty much everything from the Island of Blood and Dark Vengeance. Easy to make, easy to modify, easy everything.

I particularly disliked the Lord of the Rings Wood Elves. While they look impressive after assembly, you have to *glue the faces/helmets on*. Not kidding- the models look faceless, and you have to separately glue the faces onto them. Rage-inducing indeed, especially once you glue a face on partially sideways by mistake and only notice it after the glue is dry.

All eldar vehicles are super fun to paint since I can do it quite quickly. I love to build all kinds of plastic characters since my bitz bix is extensive enough that I can usually do some converting on them. For one of my space marine hq:s i counted that I used bitz from nine different boxes including ork and warriors of chaos bitz.

My armies:
vior'la sept 12k
Erik Morkai's great company 6k
dark mechanicus, the dearth of hope, 8k
rothwyr morwan's company 1,5k
Adeptus custodes 2k

The bane blade kit is an extremely elegant and well designed model, and very fun to loot for orks.
I enjoyed painting my trukks and battlewagons the most. After waiting years for good ork vehicles, we finally got the BW and trukks.
I also really enjoyed making my 'ard boyz, I poured a lot of extra time and effort into them, and every moment a joy.

My favorite model to paint so far has to be the primarch angron model. Its just soooooo cool.....

My favorite models to build though are probably my converted obliterators. Took a bunch of vehicle weapons (like lascannons, plasma cannons, etc) and cut them and attached them to some terminators. Made them looks less like mutated guys with guns growing out of them and more like huge mech suits that are 50% guns haha. I imagine that's more how the iron warriors would do it as opposed to chaos mutations.

Not trying to segway my topic here, but where is the rule for what can be looted for orks? I cant find anything on looting in the codex.

I have fun making all my tanks. The troops are meh as they cannot be generally modified like the tanks can (or they can but with their numbers its almost pointless).

SO far the most fun was.... Either the Mark 1 Knight or finally finishing my War Zeppelin...

Rules for looted wagons can be found in one of the White Dwarf magazines. I can't give ya the number off the top of my head, but it had a picture of some sort of yellow ork-thing with a circular stamp that said "exclusive rules inside"- it's recent enough that most FLGS and GW stores should still have it.

Modelling: The humble Space Marine Tactical Squad and a Bits Box. With a bit of cutting, sticking and a few sliced thumbs, you can get amazingly characterful models from that kit.

Painting: The Dark Vengeance Chaos Marines, Lord and Helbrute. Such an awesome aesthetic and superbly detailed sculpts.

I really enjoy building anything that's not made of resin. Seriously that gak is bad.

As for painting, the most rewarding model probably was my Khorn lord of skulls because everyone keeps commenting about the high quality of work (even though I think it's just above average).

The most fun was my funky conversion for an event at my local GW. http://imgur.com/a/LMWNG
