Do they look weird? Sure. Do they look out of place? Not really. I actually like the Terminator helmets. They look like dog faces a little bit. I would like them a lot less if they looked just like the standard PA helmets though. They look different and that is cool.

I'm all for difference and I would agree that it's not out of place. To me it just looks like the helmets are a bit strange. I like the look of the Gorgon helmets because it makes the soldier look like he's surrounded by armor.

I like the helment, it's the models proportions that make them look weird.

Yeah, the model itself would have to be a bit bigger.

I have to admit...they looked wierd when i first saw them up close. All elongated. That being said, they seem to have had the "Ugly Roommate" effect on me. Meaning that they look better day after day.

Now they make me feel like a sexual tyrannosaurus, and I gotta play Long Tall Sally while riding in a helicopter chewing tobacco, just waiting to go kill something in some untamed land.

Spoiler:

It's really less the helmet and more the gorget that makes it look like he's surrounded in armor.

And no one was criticizing that, I was just pointing out that it was less the helmet and more the massive armored collar that was giving you the look you like on that guy.

I wasn't taking offense friend! But that does give me an Idea to make a turtle themed terminator squad.

I really like the look of Terminators. The blocky, slightly stubby look makes them really intimidating and the helmets are a huge part of that look.

I always encourage Terminators to wear their helmets. A bolter round to the face even behind all that armor will still explode your face, bionic or not...

The concept of not wearing your helmet always confounds me.... Even in Power Armor.
This is the exact reason I never take the Space Wolves models seriously.

Well obviously you haven't realised that Space Wolves are decendent from Chuck Norris, hence the beards and lack of helmets. The AdMech is worried about damaging the systems of the helmet and in any case, the beard protects.

I like the look of Terminators. The helmets look suitable blocky and menacing which is what Termies are supposed to.

He's not talking about the size. He's talking about the proportions. As in the Terminator's shoulders are in line with his ears. So he's either bent over at a weird angle, or more likely, someone with approximately human anatomy like a Space Marine couldn't actually fit inside the armor, lol.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

I love them, and Terminators in general. I like to imagine that the blocky "snout" face is just what a helmet respirator with a 2+ save looks like.

'Odd' is a funny word in this game. Most everything is odd, lol.

I think the generic terminator helmets aren't the best looking. Much prefer alternates. The GK helmets are MUCH better for example.

Hey, at least the regular Terminators have amazing posture compared to the old Logan Grimnar model. That guy have severe spinal deformities!

The reason models don't have helmets is a rule of cool thing, and an easy way to identify a model on the tabletop. I can tell that dude is important since he isn't wearing a helmet like the dozen dudes behind him. Just imagine your model's taking his helmet off for a breath of fresh air before putting it back on, or his helmet's damaged, or maybe he's got a power field protecting his face. Forge the narrative and what not!

I hate the trend of "important = no helmet". Especially with Space Marines, whose important characters are so covered in bling that they would already stand out even if their helmet was the standard Mark VII (but helmeted important characters get special helmets anyway).
