Do the Terminator Helmets look ridiculous?
Yes! They look like newts for Khorne's sake!
What, No! Terminator helmets look awesome!
I am undecided.

Sigh... Obligatory undecided votes. Next time, don’t give people the option.

Why not?

I like the helment, it's the models proportions that make them look weird.

Yeah, the model itself would have to be a bit bigger.
He's not talking about the size. He's talking about the proportions. As in the Terminator's shoulders are in line with his ears. So he's either bent over at a weird angle, or more likely, someone with approximately human anatomy like a Space Marine couldn't actually fit inside the armor, lol.

See I think it's more like a tiny little guy just sitting in this massive house of Armor.

The Paladin helmets are a weak point but I otherwise love the GK helmets, especially the Terminator ones.

psst... Ash, the paladin helmets ARE the terminator helmets.

Paladin

Surely I am not the only one seeing the difference?

Different sure. But they are both leaps and bounds above the 'dog faced' regular Terminator helmets as someone called them. IMHO of course.

I think it's just to show that the Grey Knights get the cool toys. If I remember right they have better ships etc etc. IMHO- Don't screw with what's already a good thing.

I actually like the look of the terminator helmets. Not just the aesthetic but the fact they don't look well designed. Over the last decade or so marines have completely lost the old 'lost tech' feel, with everything looking sleek and shiny. They look far too modernised for a group whose last real understanding of technology died out 10,000 years ago. This is of course just my opinion but I think the clean surfaces of modern marines (as opposed to exposed cables, battle damage or unwieldy attachments) is a step away from the Imperium's origin.

There is, supposedly, additional surgical procedures required before one can wear TDA, though they don't give specifics. Maybe they move your head and neck down a few inches?

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.
