On this day, two and a half centuries ago, Britain, in its infinite wisdom, was generous enough to bestow freedom upon the good people of America
And what did we get in return for this generosity? Anne Coulter!!! Vanilla sky (hate that film) and that God awful root beer
Enjoy the festivities, even though technically, the Declaration of Independence was signed yesterday

It was also on this day that the Irish claimed yet another victory in annoying the Brits
I come in peace. I didn't bring artillery. But I'm pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you mess with me, I'll kill you all

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

Independence Day rolls off the tongue even better, but most Americans seem to prefer to call it by date rather than name, for some reason...
It's a Saturday, and a holiday! How come you're not on holiday?
Did your ancestor's march up Bunker (Breed's) hill so you could disrespect their memory by...working?

By helping America, revolutionary fever came back to France and ended up causing the French Revolution. Payback, I suppose

A long long time ago I played SEGA game named "Liberty or Death".
At the start, Boston with british was overwhelmed by rebels and only chance to not fail was to escape by sea to north or south and continue to fight.

America never invented that stuff. It was the glorious leader of North Korea that invented all that, and went back in time and secured American independence

It's ok to admit you can't stand the thought of not being out from under the crown

Is this your 2nd 4th? If so, you've got... what... 4 or 5 more 4ths before applying for citizenship?

Don't eat so much barbecued food that you get sick, and be careful with the grill - especially if it's a charcoal thing. Fire and booze is a bad combination.

Make it a big pawty!
Lets see, I was here for July 4th 2011 (I proposed the week before)
July 4th 2012 I hadn't moved over yet
July 4th 2013
July 4th 2014
July 4th 2015
So this is number 4 for me. I need to check the timeline, but if I recall correctly I can start applying for citizenship sooner because my wife is American.
On this day the Union stopped the Army of Virginia cold outside Gettysberg. Tomorrow Pickett's charge. Suck it CSA!
