I think we should all take a moment to thank the photographer. It cannot be easy to take pictures of a magazine when you have no hands, and there's and earthquake going on.

So many thanks to the photographer. I hope the prosthetics come in soon, and that you move to somewhere that isn't near a fault line.

Anyway, yes, plastic Sisters. Pretty sure that's Celestine + 2 bodyguards, and that kit is going to be expensive as feth.

The Magos is pure sex. I am in love with that model. Why are we getting it? Is there a big AdMech release coming? Combined books? Skitarii with a fething HQ finally?

The Hereticus Inquisitrix is great. I've been saying for years that they should have made a model of her:

... and it seems they finally are.

Archonites? Cool. Disc-riding Tzaangors? Even cooler!

Fall of Cadia? As long as we get a boss new Failbaddon mini (like Arhiman) and not a failure of a mini (like Kharn) then that'll be good.

And based on the tagline for Gangs of BDSM, it looks to be bikes and hoverboards for them.

I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth but the whole "scrolls as supports" look on jump troops annoys the hell out of me, I'm hoping they'll be easy enough to clip off. Otherwise, wow! They're all good models. Why are the "forge world exclusive" limited ed. space marines they're putting out so crap compared to this stuff?

I own this guy, and he's super bloody wobbly. I really do question how Celestine's model is going to work when the Knight Venator honestly looks more stable.

I guess they're holding off on a new Doobie miniature 'til the next book.

And it'll be kind of a shame if it's just Celestine leading the Black Templars, but no Sisters to go with her.

I doubt it's anything more than Celestine and her bodyguards. This isn't a Codex release, and the fact that it's three special characters means, to me anyway, that none of the armies involved ('cept maybe Templars) are getting a full update.

But it doesn't mean there's a plastic Sisters range coming with this book, or anytime soon. As I said, it's not a new Codex, it's just a single special character.

It'd be like claiming that Shadowfax means that "The Inquisition is now in plastic!". It's not. It's 1 model.

Let's not overstate or inflate this to silly "Plastic Sisters & Half-Life 3 confirmed!" levels of Internet Hyperbole.

When have Sisters ever been that?

The Inquisitor is all of these things but I like her anyway, apart from her weirdly flat face and stupid hat with a stupid candle on it. She'll be getting a head swap and probably a weapon swap as well as I can't really see the place for a crossbow in 40k. Correct me if I'm wrong...

You wouldn't be surprised if the character that they just released as a brand new plastic kit was killed off straight away? Really?

And then you think they'll render their recently released giant Daemon Primarch "good" and remove that kit out of the game?

C'mon man...

455 for a T6 model that's not an MC? I guess he has Eternal Warrior (at 10K years old, he'd have to have it, right?).

I just think it's great we're getting the female version of the Witch Hunter style Inquisitor.

Now if only we could get that for the Ordo Malleus and fething anything for the Ordo Xenos, I'd be happy.

Umm... £50 is AUD$85. US$80 is AUD$111?

Why are we paying AUD$140?

If they did, it would be $61 USD.

They have a 'price bracket' system they use.
That's a pretty dumb explanation there Kan. If true, then they should use an AUD pricing bracket that is closer to the UK price bracket they've assigned for this release, no? The fact that it's 164% the UK price is absurd.

But please go on. Defend GW's insane pricing methods some more. I'm very interested as to the justifications you can pick out of thin air.

Yes, it's a defense to explain to you how things work.
You're justifying (or attempting to justify) why Australia pays anywhere from 40%-100% more than the rest of the world (well, UK/US, I should say). That sounds like typical GW apologising to me.

 Kanluwen wrote:
They have price brackets they assign items to, and the prices tend to be a bit out of whack with straight conversions.
Having price brackets doesn't explain the sharp difference in prices between regions. It's fine to have a AUD$140 price bracket, but it should be applied to things that are close to (or as close to) things that have the equivalent price bracket in the UK. So if there's an £80 or £75 price bracket on something, then the AUD price can be the AUD$140 bracket. If the UK is in the £50 price bracket, then the AUD price bracket applied to the same item should be somewhere similar (an AUD$85 or AUD$90 price bracket).

If anything, price brackets should make having consistent (or near-consistent, taking into account currency fluctuations and some importing costs) world-wide prices easier. It does ---NOT--- explain why this box is 164% the price of the UK price.

 Kanluwen wrote:
Additionally it should be $120 AUD rather than $140 going by the price brackets of other items that are $80(Deathwatch Land Raider is the most recent example), but it's been fluctuating a bit this past year.
How can price brackets fluctuate?

Is the Void Dragon even part of 40K fluff since GW did a 180 on the C'Tan and changed them from ancient immortal space demi-Gods to enslaved shards of ancient not-quite-so-immortal space demi-Gods?

I'd love a Great Harlequin model, but it could also be a good way of releasing the plastic Eldrad outside of a boxed game.

I still hear warning sirens when I see someone talking about Exodites. Then again, in two years we got a Harlequin Codex, two Ad-Mech books, a Deathwatch Codex, a Genestealer Cult Codex and a Traitor Legions book, so who the hell knows.

I believe they still have the oldest models GW makes (Phoenix Lords, a number of the Warlocks, the Avatar). They still have, I believe, the second oldest plastic kit in the range, the Vyper (that thing came out when I was still in high school - and prior to that they had the old plastic Jetbike), so they're due to have a few things redone.

I'd love a Phoenix Lords boxed set (rather than loads of overpriced clampacks) where Jes takes a second go at each of his iconic models.

They could do another campaign boxed set between the two books. Wouldn't be the first (or even the third) time they've done it.

Could be a place to release new plastic Doobie/Chosen, plus Guard Veterans or something like that. New plastic Guard HQ?

40k doesn't need rules 'tweaks'. It needs a complete overhaul. The game is too cumbersome to function correctly.
