The thing is though... GW doesn't advertise the One Click bundles in White Dwarf, just the boxsets that actually give a discount.

Not disagreeing with you, but I think there's something to exploring why GW does this.

My belief is that as GW is a public company, the "manufacture" of evidence has little to nothing to do with the consumer and much more to do with having a plausible explanation for any investor asking questions. Killing off any product line is a source of lost revenue akin to an untapped ore vein in a mine. Shutting off something that can produce income is an event most investors don't want and if you do enough things your investors don't want then that becomes A Bad Thing; more hands on the wheel is bad for the ship and all that. By demonstrating that it cost more to keep the line around, they have their rationale on why they needed to do that and investors will be happy to not be throwing good money after bad. IIRC most investors in GW are institutional so while a big change like AoS/killing WFB would be noticed, none of those entities "cares" in the same way the consumer space does so a simple explanation is sufficient. Does GW need to have one for everything? No, because for many of said institutions I'm sure their revenues from GW are a rounding error but it's a situation of if GW needed the explanation and didn't have it there'd be trouble. CYA and all that.

On the actual topic a box set of the Inquisitor, Celestine and Magosaurus-Rex would actually be somewhat enticing if it's not $100. Not really into the AdMech, but if I'm already thinking I'll be buying 4 our of the 5 models of this hypothetical set then they wouldn't be the first model to be idly sitting around.

I wasn't planning on buying Celestine, but if there's a discount involved in getting all three, then sure.

Really wouldn't surprise me to find they bundle all 3 together, after all GW probably don't expect anyone to want Celestine alone so are hoping to sell her with the two popular models. Because GW consistently underestimate demand for Sisters.

Five. You forgot the bodyguards.

Just 50 squids for all 5 of those models?! I see a hella bargain. On their own the Inquisitor would be what, 15 and the big ass mech fella would be at least 25-30, which makes the celestant prime esque Celestine with 2 guards like a tenner.

I take that.

Meh. I don't care about Celestine or Greyfax. I would rather buy them Separate. I only want Cawl.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

Is GW finally learning its pricing lessons? £50 for all the heroes, when you might expect crawl to be that much alone. £15 for a 136 page battletome and £30 for 20 acolytes. A very good start to the month.

Umm... £50 is AUD$85. US$80 is AUD$111?

Why are we paying AUD$140?

I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to find people to split the box with.

Three characters(one with two additional models) for $80, split three ways is $26.67 each...plus tax.

Interesting points in the story:

- The Phalanx is present to counter the Planet Killer.
- Trazyn says he knows the purpose of the pylons.
- Trazyn will open its vaults to set free some Imperial prisoners that were part of his collection.

Because they have never done flat currency conversions?
If they did, it would be $61 USD.

They have a 'price bracket' system they use.

That's a pretty dumb explanation there Kan. If true, then they should use an AUD pricing bracket that is closer to the UK price bracket they've assigned for this release, no? The fact that it's 164% the UK price is absurd.

But please go on. Defend GW's insane pricing methods some more. I'm very interested as to the justifications you can pick out of thin air.

Yes, it's a defense to explain to you how things work.

They have price brackets they assign items to, and the prices tend to be a bit out of whack with straight conversions.

Additionally it should be $120 AUD rather than $140 going by the price brackets of other items that are $80(Deathwatch Land Raider is the most recent example), but it's been fluctuating a bit this past year.

I was planning on getting all three anyway so the box set is good news for me. I can see how others who are only after one or two would be miffed though. If your willing to wait I'd put money on separate releases in the future.
Trazyn opening up his collection sounds really interesting. Wonder what he wants in exchange? A new plastic model would be really nice as well.

Potentially as much as £7 a figure if you can get a good 25% discount? (still a £35 outlay though, sadly) Surprisingly competetive pricing from GW for the denizens of our dreary little island.

Not sure I want/need 'em all so i'll see if I can grab singles somewhere. I'd imagine bits sites could make some good money that way.

Why let the bits sites make money when you could sell them yourself?
